  1. You are pretty liberal with what you let us get away with.
  2. Ivermectin has been around for many more years than the vaccine, been tested for what it is supposed to do. I believe it is used in humans for deworming too.
  3. I read the part about seeing if it would sink. Is it a little top heavy with all of the added deck?
  4. Meramec has never been on my go to list of trout parks. Too close to Montauk and on the way for Bennett Springs for me. It was the first trout park I ever fished. But something is never right there for me.
  5. I need it on a larger scale. Fields are overdue for fertizer and lime. More than the hay it will produce. If you can get it. Phosphate and nitrogen shortage again. None around here last spring either.
  6. Fricking fertilize is stupid this year. Never know what you will see. Prices have doubled.
  7. Is that the famous mop material on fly number 2?
  8. The only thing I have used the Daredevils for is trout. Never knew that attracted whites and stripers. Learning all the time on here.
  9. https://strawberryplants.org/growing-strawberries/ I use some 10-10-10 to start, then miracle grow after berries.
  10. Sky carp?
  11. Take your time with your wood working. The 3/8" bee space is a given. As long as they have that, they will crawl between it. Otherwise, they will fill it up with something.
  12. Use the same tactics they do. Sit and wait for them to come around, then zap them.
  13. You are tinkering with stuff I never had the time for. I have toyed with the idea of making long langs. That Layens hive looks like a beast to work. I have had hives that really like the burr combs and glue things together. The idea of crush and strain is a good way to keep stuff from building up in your hive that has been brought in from the fields like pesticides. But building wax takes alot of energy for the bees and cuts into the honey production.
  14. Arkansas posted last week that thieves were busting windows out of cars in State Park areas and cleaning the cars out. With prices so high, the Meth Heads have to work harder to keep up.
  15. Weather has warmed and the bees are out. One hive dead, getting robbed out. I have not opened to do a post mortem. 3 hives seem strong and bringing in pollen for new bees. Probably maples. 1 hive weak but flying. It was a cripple last year. I will see what it does. It has struggled for 2 years now, but made it thru 2 winters. March is a tricky month. Swings in temps get them going but also ends up killing them if it goes cold for a while again.
  16. Picked up some Everbearing Strawberry roots and some Aspargus crowns for the new bed I built. 12 bags of topsoil for the beds. Took advantage of a few hours this afternoon and went to work. Cleaned off the old crap, stirred the compost, turned over one bed and covered it up. Prepped the areas for the strawberries and asparagus, did not get them in the soil. I did till my cold crop bed and planted some lettuce, spinach, and sugar snap peas. All beds are covered now to dry out. Dug up the strawberry runners from last summer to make new sets, put them in the shed. Probably give them to neighbor to give him a start on berries. Garden is officially started.
  17. I started out fishing out of a 14' Aluminum Jon with a 9hp tiller back in the day with my Uncle. I sold my 14' Jon with a 9.5hp tiller last year to another new and upcoming fisher. I don't own a boat that costs more than 8k and still have alot of fishing in them. That old boat of my Uncles would barely get us out of sight of a boat ramp before it choked. Mine tend to be more reliable.
  18. Call them up and ask them. You never know what they will do. I have been using Orvis since the 90's and have never had a bad experience with customer service. I have a Silver series pair of waders bought in 2000 that I still use in Kayaks. They have been abused but still mostly watertite. Since then, I have been with the Pro Guides for heavy duty use. I rotate thru 4 different pairs of Orvis Breathables when I fish depending on conditions. One is a Waterfowl pair with boot foots.
  19. I think RPS was referencing the ongoing maint. required to keep a boat in good shape. Boats take alot of time and tender loving care. They are never a money making investment. Break Out Another Thousand is a good point. You are always a rock, blowout, stump, or just a little distraction away from loosing a grand on repair.
  20. My last pair of Orvis Felts ran about $125
  21. The LEDs make them really pop out
  22. Club foot
  23. I had the Pfizer, worked out great. Grew a third leg.
  24. I have an Orvis 1 Ounce 4 wt, 7' rod. That is as light as I ever wanted to go. Weighs the same as 4 quarters, but has some power for small streams. I have landed 17" fish with it. I remember back in the day when 3 and even a 1 weight was out there. Never owned one.
  25. Getting ready for spawn.
