  1. Been a while since I fished up by the outlet. Back when I was younger I could fish that whole stretch to the end of the island. Caught nice fish in there.
  2. I tried filing mine last summer, that metal is pretty hard or I had a dull file. Either way, I did not change it much.
  3. I did not know they were catching brood Browns at the outlets. Interesting report, probably on a typewriter back then???
  4. Most builders are overwhelmed right now with sales. Don't expect return calls or quotes right away, construction industry is off the charts. And, prices are higher and going up every day. Steel and lumber is shooting up again right now based on demand and supply issues.
  5. Pump grease thru the fitting every time and you should be good. Has that little cone shaped nut give you any more power like they say it will?
  6. Rod lengths were selected by casting that I have to do. The longer the cast, the longer the rod. Line weight is determined by the fly weights that I am casting. Drys were always 4, nymphs 5, and streamers 6 or 7 weight lines. Bass bugs were 8. I have slow action rods and fast action rods, each have their own feel for what I want to do. But the slower actions like fiberglass, bamboo, and early graphites were what I learned with. Faster actions have a goofy feel, but can be cast well. Just not by my learned arm, which is now slower since they took a chunk out of it to make my tongue.
  7. What does hijack mean? This is one of those all purpose, weekend crappy, sidetracks. Tell us about the cedar strips.
  8. The swarms rolled in here too. Caught 3.
  9. I ended up at the farm today. Never had any snow around here. Pulled up deer blind huts and put them away for the season. Sighted in a few rifles and a new AR 350 legend pistol. It was fun to shoot, but needs some breaking in and tuning. Just a single shot, or maybe a double. Don't know if it was cold and dry of lube or needs some polishing. Sighted in at 75 yards using a red dot scope. Nice cool north breeze blowing.
  10. How many are you up to now? I am holding at 5.
  11. Granny always added a few.
  12. Try this for your cornbread and step it up a notch. sausage cornbread.pdf
  13. There is a chance of Myocarditis in a number of people. Dying on a vent away from anyones contact or knowledge of loved ones is a bad way to go too. Just have to weigh the odds. Its a crap shoot.
  14. https://wfs.swst.org/index.php/wfs/article/download/340/340 This helps explain the complex system.
  15. The seed eating birds are on decline, the ones that depend on them to spread their offspring will be doomed unless they can adapt. https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/plants-are-stuck-as-seed-eating-animals-decline/
  16. Growing on the side of the bluff away from all other kindling protects them from fire. Depending on which side of the bluff shelters them from strong winds. The miracle is how in the world did the seed ever take and grow in the barren piece of rock they took root to.
  17. What kind of beans and cornbread? I like the white beans with ham and mexican cheesy cornbread.
  18. Vaccine probably got her thru it, but she was sicker than me. Had to go to prompt care to get the test and Dr. excuse for work. Just the bad flu as far as symptoms, both shots hit her the same way. But I kept her masked and in another room when I was around. I kept working thru mine last month, did not really do much to me. Still have a nagging cough.
  19. Saw the latest cure is to drink urine. You know the guy that started that one on the net is sitting around laughing and thinking about all the dumba s that will give it a shot. Came back into to room last nite and told wife that I just flushed a pint of the cure. She has been limping thru it since last week.
  20. I am always amazed by the scraggly little cedars growing out of the side of the bluffs, existing on whatever drips down on them from above or craps on them for fertilize. I have heard many of them are really old.
  21. I think they hit late in the season. Should not be a problem in spring.
  22. Are you sure its not just lymph nodes under the skin in the fat. If the fur is good, there should not be a problem. They don't really care about the inside.
  23. Stand in a puddle of water when you plug it back in. You will know if it works. Smoker probably pulling more amps than the GFI rated for. Check that.
  24. Gonna get whiter soon also.
