  1. I live in the dam area and fish it 3-5 days a week...there is a very strong wiggle wart bite in bright colors and a nice shakey head bite. Tons and tons of ways to catch bass right now.
  2. I am sure this question has been beat to death, but I need 3 new 12v batteries for my Champion bass boat...I have tried batteries from Wal-mart, K-mart, Oreilly, Bass Pro, Arnold motor supply...they all seem to be about the same to me....BUT, does anyone have advise on where to get 12v marine batteries that are just great? Guides...what do you use in your boats? Thanks

    One Down

I went yesterday morning north of Branson on my property, (hundreds of birds I see during deer season) and didnt even hear a bird...I'll go again Saturday..patients is the key I think on this one
  4. Ok, I'll not be quiet and give my quick report. I fished last Sat. Sunday day, Monday and last nights and have found the same pattern to be true near the Dam area. I have caught no less than 6 keeper size bass each outing (outing usually 2-3 hrs) all ranging from 15-18 inches caught on bright colored wiggle warts...bright colored being the key. Last night I caught them on crome colored bagleys shallow diving crankbait. I believe every fish I have caught are males...best 5 fish at any given day was 10-14 lbs. I have had best success on steeper banks in spawning pockets....just imagine where you think they'd make a bed and pull out toward deeper water from that spot. I am looking for the big females in the 10-15 fow range, but just keep catching males. Hope this report helps some of you get on some action anyway.
  5. Ok, my turn for a stink story. Fished Indian Point area Saturday for 2hr in some great spots...NOTHING. Fished 3 hrs Sunday, same areaish an only managed a 14 inch smallie on a c-rig...I stunk it up so bad both days, that I just went home and did yard work. Temps Saturday before 61-65 and last Saturday 56-60 degrees. Strange deal
  6. No pics, but I did catch a smallie up indian creek last saturday that went 4.26lb on carolina rig....I'd LOVE to get a 5.6lb smallie...great job
  7. i had a descent wiggle wart bite yesterday in the dam area and couldnt get a bite on a-rig
  8. Get a weather radio, but I live down Stormy Point area and could hear them loud and clear
  9. One owner, 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LS $90,000 miles, runs and drives great, new tires, new master cylinder, new brakes, new front wheel bearings, new battery. Oil changed every 3500 miles and I have all the paperwork to prove every repair as I am very particular with my vehicles. There is a small dent/scratch on the passenger rear quarter panel where wife scraped a deck pole. $5750 obo, no trades Please email or text with questions. 417.three three one. 3332
  10. Awesome report...I tried three docks near the dam area last Saturday and only managed 1 fish on a 1/32 white jig, dead still when it hit.
  11. I have 2 Team Diawa Advantage Baitcasting Reels for sale. Model 153HSTA 6.3:1, 10 ball bearing plus 1 roller bearing. Both purchased at the same time, used last season, good condition and I'm just cleaning closets today. $60 each or $100 for both. text, pm or call 417.331.3332 Thanks
  12. Phil, as you know when you and I fish together, I am able to pattern the whites for about 2-3 nights in a row, then they are gone for a while, then they come back, then they are gone. Usually I find them in the main channel swings in 80+ fow in summer...could I go on any given day and graph whites...NO. Not sure where they go, but it seems they are predictably unpredictable
  13. I really like temple fork rods, they are under $99 and carry a lifetime warranty and were designed by gary loomis formerly of g.loomis company
  14. In my dock 2 sold this fall...one a 10x28 no lift, no lot for $30,000 and a 12x28 for $35,000 I will say we are 5 min from branson and our dock is 3 years old
  15. Here are some pre-rapala wiggle warts that I had painted by a forum member "TrophyfishR" I sent him tons of pics from crawdads I was catching this summer on table rock and he did a FANTASTIC job painting these. Seriously, his work was beyond superior and he was very thourough and honest. If you ever considered having a bait painted contact him and you will NOT be dissapointed, I only hope I dont loose one.
  16. Fished 3 hrs Saturday 4-7pm, only 1 fish...3lb lm on an orange buzz bait...it is flat out HARD on the Rock right now. It is as Tough as it gets...SERIOUSLY TOUGH
  17. I too struggled last night on topwater near dam area...not sure if it was blue bird sky and no wind and/or the surface temp. jumped 2degrees in my cove or what the deal was. My solution: hitting the deer woods for the next week or so!
  18. white buzz bait, but this time of year I really like orange/purple or black/red
  19. Here is my latest DAM report (where I fish 99% of the time). Saturday 830-10 am, one fish on a wiggle wart 10fow, behind dock near deep water...pig of a bass that came unbuttoned at the boat and that was all I caught. Saturday 530-7pm, one keeper largemouth on a 45degree bank 15fow with wiggle wart. One 5lb bass on buzz bait 10fow back of cove near pole timber Also, picked up 3 crappie under a large dock with green/yellow jig. Hope this helps
  20. I've owned a hi-point before, not the prettiest gun in the world, but mine shot fine and I kept it in the truck glove box all the time. Would I depend my life on it...no,but its better than nothing. If the goal for Hi-Point is for everyone in America who can legally own a gun, find one at a price point that works for all americans, then they have done their job. Good luck with the gun and have fun!
  21. Well, this is an unusual question for me, but heregoes: I have nothing planned this weekend and the wife is out of pocket. I live on table rock with a bass boat in the slip which is an option, but anyone have any other ideas what I could do that is out of the ordinary, i.e. shoot skeet, outdoor getaways, hiking, biking...just asking for opinions Thanks
  22. I have fished out of many boats the last 15 years and I tend to like a champion overall. But, Bass Cat is good, Ranger is good and Triton is good. I have no experience with Phoenix. Stick with the main brands and you'll be just fine. To me, the motor is the engine that drives the thing, so make sure it works!
  23. the c stix is light and sensitive, but seriosly i'll know more at the end of the season after I get another 75 days on the water out of her
  24. I just received the generation 4 Carrot Stix, which I am testing, it has micro guides. I have used it on 2 outings and can say I enjoy the rod/micro guides very much, but time will tell...
