  1. What's her first name? I always like to have a name.
  2. Nice!!
  3. I've got two Brittanies, and I've been thinking about taking them on a fishing trip. I've had the calmer one in a canoe, but the other isn't a candidate. It'd have to be a wading trip, and I'd have to have the Garmin collars on because they're runners. Then again, maybe I don't take them fishing.
  4. I can see that happening, especially on a new stretch. Phones and GPS are sure handy when you're on the road, but when it gets down to fine detail of dirt roads and streams, I have been going back to hand-drawn maps more and more. I like that I can keep it to just the important info -- like roads, accesses, landmarks, etc. I label and scribble notes on them. Just did a trip out west -- mostly all new areas to me. Delorme atlas to get me close, then hand-drawn maps for the rest. I'm scanning them so I have a clean copy if I need them.

    What's Cooking?

Been out of town and being cooked for mostly. It's getting old, not to mention expensive.
  8. Spring crops can generally be fall crops too. Lettuce, radish, beet, pea, spinach, carrot, bush beans, etc. Forget long season, summer stuff
  9. Smith/Action. Well made, they have an excellent warranty. Last pair I had over 10 years, and they happily replaced the frames twice when I broke them. The prescription was getting way behind, so I got new ones recently. This time bifocal. I can see to tie on a fly now without messing with flip down readers. They're gonna be my brand.
  10. The one common thing about all the problems here and on Table Rock -- guys with boats.
  11. The tail po-lice done caught me -- calf tail.
  12. I want the men's crew neck holster shirt in a XXL.
  13. I got your sandwich right here!
  14. Horse hocky.
  15. Lime trude -- an oldy but goody! Those hungry mountain fish won't miss the deer tail!
  16. Nice.
  17. Sorry if this is off topic, but I just had to share this somewhere and this seemed as good as anyplace. I always considered myself a Mary Ann guy -- Ginger just never did it for me. So, last night I'm watching Gilligan's Island on TV Land and somehow Mary Ann gets hypnotized and thinks she's Ginger -- she even starts wearing Ginger's clothes. Now I'm gonna have to rethink things! There's a third, even better choice! Oh, and then the Professor tries to hypnotize her back to Mary Ann, and Gilligan's watching and guess what?? He ends up thinking he's Mary Ann! Oh man, my gut still hurts from all the laughing. They sure don't make 'em like that anymore!
  18. Welcome back Andrew.
  19. The little f-ers always tunnel out.
  20. ^^^ Words of wisdom right there.
  21. A few years back I was fishing a small county lake near here and a due pulled up in a big diesel truck pulling a massive pontoon boat. I made it a point to stick around because I thought there was no way he'd pull it off, especially because it's a short, narrow ramp and you've got to come in at a slight angle. He cranked that thing in the slot, slid it down the ramp -- with maybe a couple feet of clearance on each side -- first try. Man, that was a thing of beauty. I wanted to applaud.
  22. I vote that is sufficient to pass -- wheverthehell the point was. Wrench?

    What's Cooking?

I like your setup. Ho-made? Never did know much about the eggs. I guess they're thicker and retain heat better? Maybe get hotter also?

    What's Cooking?

I've done that before -- didn't know it was a thing. I thought I invented it.
