  1. Outstanding, Marty. Pie looks great. My gooseberries are close, getting some black raspberries, strawberries peters out.
  2. Huh, handn't heard of that one Wayne. Bushy dry files are a lot of fun, and I can see them better especially with some white in them. Tups I've heard of, but never fished. I like to old ones, just because.
  3. Nothing like meeting face-to-face to really get to know what somebody's like and where they're coming from.
  4. Oh, 2011. Never mind.
  5. You're half way to great BBQ.....come on up and see what you're missing
  6. Fly fishermen over complicate things??? Pshaw!
  7. App Store
  8. Phil said he canned the Tapatalk functionality on the forum because it caused problems. I've got the free IPBuddy app on my iPhone. It just reads the forum, doesn't mess with things.
  9. BBT -- that's pretty cool. Just goes to show you don't need the $$$ tackle and the latest hot fly.
  10. Welcome to KC, Kayser. If you're just wanting to scratch the itch and get out in the kayak close to home, there's Lenexa Lake, Kill Creek, Shawnee Mission Park and more.

    World Cup

The one that squeezed you tight and nearly broke your spine?
  12. 5 and 7?? How did that happen so quick? No idea on RV hookups -- we stayed indoors on the other side of the park. All kinds of trout fishing opportunities there. Need to go up high if you're interested in a native brookie, browns and rainbows have crowded them out down low. Very cool area and a beautiful park.

Maria told me I was the only one.
  14. Yeah, right. Like I'm gonna believe some random, anonymous internet dude when I have thousands of hours of fishing shows, made by real live pros with video cameras, that demonstrate the opposite.

    D-Day

i didn't appreciate it enough when I was a kid. A lot of those guys were dads and uncles and grandpas. A couple years ago I saw an older couple eating lunch, and the man had on one of those military caps that said Omaha Beach. I sat down next to them and started to chat. Sure enough, he had been there on the day. He was an engineer that used a Bangalore torpedo to blow out the barbed wire. He was in all the way to the end in Germany. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with him, and I don't think he minded. I would have loved to spent the afternoon talking with them. Heroes in our midst, and there are fewer and fewer of them each day.
  19. That's cool. I see it's gonna be on golf channel tonight.
  20. That's very cool. Somehow I'm not surprised they are so grounded. Did you meet Tommy and Jack? I figure you did, but just gotta ask.
  21. Boy, those are some great golfers there. I'd bet it's a thrill to get to see them in person. Looks like a beautiful course too.
  22. For less than a tank of gas http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/0961459956/ref=tmm_other_meta_binding_new_olp_sr?ie=UTF8&condition=new&sr=8-1&qid=1402087361
  23. I'd just cut out anything that isn't going to make it now, rather than let it die. Unless you got damage way down to the main stems they'll probably make a comeback. Beans are kinda fragile, especially early on.
