  1. Nope. Handgun ammo maybe. I know there was a time even when you bought .22 they would ask what you were shooting them in. Don't say a handgun. I think hunting rounds only now.
  2. Now is the time IMO Ryan. Get ya one!
  3. It's all because you gave me luck on our visit yesterday. Thanks buddy! 😁
  4. Bucks are chasing pretty hard. I went and got my part done yesterday afternoon. Nothing real special just getting meat.
  5.       Hey Dutch,

Sorry, this took me so long to get back to you. In the dentist this morning, UGH fun times.

Anyway, thanks for your support. It really is a good deal for these men.  There are three options for making a cash donation. Whatever is easiest for you. On the first attachment is a venmo deal. We don't venmo and know nothing about it. This can be used if you want. It goes to the Reel Recovery coordinator Terry Hildebrandt . He then forwards it on through his account. Second deal is check to Reel Recovery and sent to Pat where she will forward with our other stuff. Terry said the check will not be deposited until December when all fundraising for the year has finished. Third deal is to Pat Horn and she will cash all the other checks and will write one check to terry. She doesn't care about waiting so long for check to be deposited.

What a hassle for one simple deal. Your donation will be used for our states program only.

  6. Will get that to you Dutch , thanks again man.
  7. I like this. They have to start somewhere, and I can relate. I remember Matt and his first hunts. Now when finds time to go he has become one hunting machine. My grandpa hunted but being across country he could not mentor me. Where we grew up there was no way to hunt until the move to Missouri and being I had to learn this myself it was a slow learning curve. My first two fiararm deer were from borrowed 30 30 lever action. I thank all of you that mentor. You all have them a good start.
  8. Wintertime is good using shad guts for channel cat. That should keep you busy and happy.
  9. Yes, you should shut up. It is only a short trip to the shop where there is an electric winch to hang and gut the deer.
  10. Not a youth of mine but one of my very best friends granddaughter and her deer from this youth season. We will start with the shooting house Tim and Ona built. Yes, she helped Tim and her and some of her young friends painted the peace sign. Tim did the front. The blind ended up on poles floor about five foot off the ground. Tim is the best working with kids and he has taken other youth for there first deer. His granddaughter is one of the neatest youngsters we have met. Sharp as a whip and talented just like her grandad. Here is the "Big House " Main shooting window in the upper teeth :). They went out yesterday morning. Ona passed on a buck. Then I got these pictures late yesterday afternoon. We are blessed to have friends like Tim and his family. He has built him a couple hives and I gifted him two swarms we caught. He is now a bee keeper too. He said he has the best video of this hunt I have yet to see it and can hardly wait!
  11. The BilletHead's watched the movie last night. It is a good show. Would recommend that it be viewed. You don't need to be into flyfishing. The story of three people troubled by the past and the road they take to get through it. Lots of places we have been in the Paradise Valley and Livingston we have been or driven by including Anglers west fly shop. Like that place. Go right by the register and high dollar stuff to the West end of the shop to the clearance section. Bargains to be had.
  12. Thanks Derek, This means I'm not loosing my mind.
  13. Test from phone. Same thing not able to attach picture file.

    What's Cooking?

A very old but new (to me) cooking vessel. Used it for this afternoons meal. About three weeks ago I made a score on a Dutch oven. A very old "ERIE" Dutch oven. We are talking before the Griswold name was used. Circa 1910, 113 years old. A very well taken care of survivor. I ran it through the E-tank and cleaned and restored it. I would give it a 9.9 being it isn't new off the showroom floor. So today it was used for frying fish, hybrid to go with fried potatoes using a 10 Arc Wagner. Some things are just too good to pass up.
  19. EPIC post!
