  6. We did not even try them. All we threw was dries. I think they will work around here, and we may give them a try next couple days. Pat has the shirt .
  7. Always do for fly box pilfering friends!
  8. Where the pink panther hunts them.
  9. Nymph tying today, The Pink Squirrel is a pattern that originated in the driftless area of Wisconsin. John Bethke of Westby was the originator. There are size 16. Many variants out there now. Mine is straight grey squirrel and the hot pink spot is Pink Rabbit. Nice to source part of the material myself. Stretch and dry a gray. Scrape off the fur with a blade. Going to stop tying and do some fishing pretty soon.

    What's Cooking?

Seared venison backstrap with bourbon butter sauce, cooked cabbage, baked potato and potato roll. First two hours in sous vide bath @ 132 degrees. Seasoned with coffee rub. Outside to be seared in a screaming hot skillet, VID_20220313_152157444.mp4 While I was doing the sear Pat was doing the sauce and finishieg up the tater and cabbage. Now after a rest the slicing of one section, VID_20220313_152807504.mp4 Been a great day topped off with good eats. Very Blessed here in BilletHeadville,

  12. So it may be awhile with the weather swings before the bees have ample nectar to go after so I decided to give some honey and nectar back. VID_20220313_113631485.mp4 A couple shots of the busyness around two of the hives, VID_20220313_113924332.mp4 VID_20220313_113945301.mp4 Water they need too. I threw in some corks so ones that take a dip accidentally could grab and get out as to not drown, VID_20220313_114142561.mp4
  13. did you watch it, John? I thought it was pretty good.
  14. Come on guys really? Like a few have said it is shot placement. This isn't a pick on a firearm one way or another post from me. Heck this post isn't even a firearm. No fire involved :). Get creative it's kind of fun. .45 cal. Air rifle. Even a round ball. I am going to get it out next season again. Coyotes don't like it either.
  15. His videos are quick and informative. Easy to follow. I have done several of his video patterns. Catch the heck out of fish on them. Miss his posting on here. Shout out to @Brian Wise come back and post a bit will ya please?
  16. Another milestone JD congrats friend. Glad you enjoyed your day. Watching Pat and being with her during her Cancer journey has a way of making you look at like different. You know that also. I can think of one positive that is our bond now. You are right, Be Well, Fish ON!
  17. He does drag things out on video to me. Just it's much better in person. Have watched quite a few of his videos.
  18. Seen and watched him tie in person at a fly shop. Up close and personal. He is not so boring then .
  19. This one is a close second, Big Blue.
  20. My favorite Gordon Lightfoot song. He put on a good show,
  21. Thanks Glen, I can hear you know though. Does not push much water . It may not but it catches!
  22. Yes, many and much better explaining than I would be.
  23. I'll try to do just a loop tomorrow and add to this with better pictures of all the steps for that part.
  24. I don't ham very often. Using the dubbing loop you can keep some tension and just slip a wad of the dubbing in there and slide it up and down to spread it out or slip in little bits at a time. if using a single thread to do nymph bodies or dry fly bodies yes wax helps it stick.
