  1. Craisins and pecans are awesome in oatmeal too. If we have some a heaping tablespoon of gooseberry jam takes it to the ausomeness level.
  2. Depending on how you are fishing. Drifting with the current at same speed your fly will sink quicker. When I fish for whites and especially hybrids at pinch points I will be stationary on bank or anchored in a boat. The water is smoking through fast as they ambush shad or other baitfish. When your fly and fly line hit the water its going to swing and go the speed of the current. There is no mending to keep it into the zone. Some places you only have seconds in the spot before the fly is out. Strip it back in and start over.
  3. TJM, Yes getting them deep in lakes is needed but in most of my fishing and might be speaking of Ryan too fishing heavy flows or fast current we need the streamer of any kind to get down as quickly as we can before we loose contact with the strike zone. Using a heaver fly or sink tip line does it for us. When I say deep it really isn't that much like in five to eight foot or more in most places I fish. Even some places it may just be two foot but we have to account for current flow.
  4. Owchee is right, I am a bit worried with the ear jewelry. There is a saying left is right and right is wrong. Sure am hoping hoping that photo is reversed . Thanks for posting for a giggle. We all need to smile.
  5. Dang! Well done again. Looking like the deep freeze again. Glad you are out harassing them again.
  6. Yes it does, Well over 1500 bucks damage for me.
  7. Anything like this Mike?
  8. Well Glen got my thoughts running wild with the blade in the back. Great test in the koi pond. I can see these working like a charm. A few of my favorite colors complete,
  9. I don't like lead eyes. I have been going all brass. Have not looked up the weight but they are 4mm and 4.8mm. Plus I have a friend that was a machinist in the ST. Louis area. When he worked the night shift he sometimes got bored because lathes were automatic once he set them up so if there was an empty lathe he would run me off some eyes . I would say pupil size they are between the 4 and 4.8 but much wider. I use bead chain in the large size sometime also. So now limiting myself in eye weight size? Well like others I did not like sink tip but I have learned to love it and have three sink rates and let the line do the work. An S3 2 to 3ips, S7 5 to 7ips and a super fast sink 5.5 to 8ips.
  10. Forgot about Posting on Ozarks Anglers.
  11. HAHAAHAHA It wasn't I truly meant it. Put your big head back on and fix a Mercury. Charge em double for the trouble while your at it.

  16. On which ones?
  17. I did didn't I FAMOUS DAVE :). I know Wrench almost as much as he thinks he knows himself. 😆
  18. Ryan, are you talking straight Clouser's or the ones with the blade on the rear? If talking Clouser type flies, I use B10s. As big as I go is size 1 due to bucktail length. Even then I get more length because I then step up to the Half and Half Clouser. On what I am throwing for white bass I go with 4s. If you are asking about Wrenche's wing ding blade in the rear I have never done that but am in the process.
  19. Oh My gosh this is going to go straight to his head!
  20. A dozen more finished. Box filling up,

  23. It is someone's wannabee bass boat, I applaud them. Built a couple like that on my fishing journey. I still don't have a bass boat. My boat is a fish boat. It will catch any fish available.
  24. Naw don't think so. Fish will think they are Russian Olagaurds and destroy them!
