Picture taken in the Schell Osage wildlife building. The bow fishing that morning and others was off the charts. Letting 20 pound plus fish pass by waiting for the big guys. I would be there at day break to shoot fish and leave in enough time to drive 25 miles to be at work at 8. Get off at 4:30 and head back to shoot more until dark. Used to burn the candle at both ends. I'm paying for it now
I was once a lean mean machine. We get old and mellow out don't we ? . You should of seen me climb a pole and rescue a 190 pound dummy every year as required. Used to do it with our peers we worked with as the dummy. Don't know why they stopped that. It was fun to stop them real quick before they hit the ground 🤪.
Also had a little quillback in the koi pond. Netted it too and it wa sonly an inch long. Wasn't sure what it was until it grew up. Got to about eight inches long and I think an owl got it. It disappeared. I have watched owls hit the water on the pond trying to catch the koi. Maybe this Summer I will do a run and hit the drying backwaters and restock the koi pond.
We don't live forever either.
No problem with young fish around here. A few years ago when we had high water and it receded I took the cast net and tossed it into the backwaters up on schell osage. Netted hundreds of two inch black buffalo. Not carp but baby buffalo. Pretty cool. When I bowfished I witnessed many buffalo orgies happening in multiple places.
I still have a few bowfishing arrows left. Things in the reel department have changed since I was in the game but have a reel too. You can have it all if you shoot a bazillion carp for me. @MOPanfisher was going to take the stuff but wasn't able to get with him. Free for the taking anyone. Still the stipulation is to kill all the invasivae ones you can!
If you want a 7.5 foot tapered leader then attach some tippet of choice. Depending on the fish size you are targeting for X size of Lb. test.
Sink tip line just a couple feet of straight line. I am cheap and bass are not the smartest fish in the gene pool I use two foot sections of floro and do loop to loop connections and make my own leaders. I actually have not used commercial tapered leaders for freshwater fish for years.

I think I have seen you on the MDC Facebook page? Am I correct? Ask there or I am sure you have the Carthage area Conservation office on the hotline. Give him a call and get us the scoop.
Negative. It becomes the recipient possession limit.
If you give away your daily limit you are done for the day. If it is from your possession limit at the house go catch more until you do daily limit or hit possession limit. What comes first.
This is all pretty simple. Label your catch in freezer or separate stringer if daily. Keep track of it and enjoy the outdoors. Some of you make things too complicated.
