    What's Cooking?

HA! I believe that. Our store is now locking up shaving cream and razor blades.
  2. I do get what you are saying Glen. It is Compassion. Trapping is no different to what you do catching whites on the river or stream setting the hook crossing the fishes' eyes and then sticking a stringer through their jaws (the trap) and dragging them around until you catch a meal or limit. Then you put them on ice to chill or into a bucket of water for the trip to clean them. they soon begin to suffocate jammed in that bucket. we are all guilty in one way or another. The only answer is for you to become a vegan. Let me know how that works for you 😁. Actually, you have one of the biggest hearts of anyone on here.
  3. Thank you, Jeff, and back at you and to all the rest of you on OAF that share trips, stories and cool information. I think I will gift something to myself this year. To balance my too many hobbies better to allow more fishing this season. Merry Christmas to all, Marty and Pat
  4. Yet you let someone else do that to your pork, beef and chicken. Out of site out of mind? Slaughter houses are no different and can be more inhumane. Kill a spider 🕷️. Its a living creature.
  5. I have a good friend who had a video of himself turning loose a bobcat. It ran under his side by side after he turned it loose. Then had to get it out from under that.
  6. Here you go Glen, Same thing with wolf bycatch, https://youtu.be/n6hSSegDPo4 The treed cougar was not intended to be attached.
  7. Turn it loose, yes it can be done.
  8. You can ruin a steak if you don't cook them right.
  9. I have heard the same thing about bobcat. I have had some cat sets for a few but pulled them. Will get them back out soon. I will be trying bobcat if I get one. If I knew what I know now way back when I was trapping bobcat I would have been feasting.

    What's Cooking?

Bingo, Top of the line in cheap too crazy expensive stuff is the chicken wing.
  12. Birds of a feather? 🤣😆 In jest of course.
  13. I have used Madison river also. To go along with what Glen said I have not used Marriott's but have used The Fly shop out there. Grat service and can get the stuff faster than F-C for sure.
  14. Tru dat Pete, But there is nothing like picking out your own material. Bucktail is the first thing that comes to mind. I will just miss that shop. We go way back. I do mail order though.
  15. Went by plateau fly shop a little while ago. It's s been ravaged 😃. Found some stuff , spent a hundred bucks. That deal started Wednesday like in two days ago. Guy checking out said it was packed. I believe it. Sad to see it go. Guy said what does not sell will be thrown away. I did take two of my pictures off the wall. I didn't want to be thrown into the trash 🤣.
  16. Does not look like it. We have used that shop for years. Changed hands many times. No one seems to make it work. Really a bummer. Each of our second sets of Simms waders were bought there with a good deal. Still dropped many bucks over all those years.
  17. Double dang Eric!

  19. No kidding.
  20. Loosing the shop in Springfield also. Bummer.
  21. Pat also checked on ours yesterday as we did the same. It's a go Rick!
  22. This ought to be a good class. Doug and I go way back. He was one of my earlier participants at Reel Recovery. Still get to see him once and awhile tying at the Tri Lakes Flyfishing Expo. Then Mike and doing his deer hair work awesome!
  23. That place is cool. Been there done that also.
  24. It can be a scary place when the river is up. This was the scene of what we were involved with.
