  1. Various places John. I just do a search on what I need and then compare prices. This is where I found the hooks I would like to try. While I ordered the hooks, I also ordered some Veevus thread. The stuff is strong for its size. I used 14/0 on the dries. Works well but wanted smaller. 16/0 is ordered and will give it a whirl. 2. Dang. This 20 is small enough for me Keith.
  3. I ordered some 18 and 20 big eye dry fly hooks. Should help with tidying up the head and tying on the tippet.
  4. Post your dry flies people, Just had to try. Broke the grizzly midge hackle twice before success. Size 20 buzzball. Orange hackle trimmed under grizzly hackle.
  5. Canadians booed at our national anthem. Then fights and then we beat them . I watched the highlights is all.
  6. Happens every winter in anticipation of spring and good things to come. Two dozen of our favorite colors. Do you think I can get them into the Clouser box?😁
  7. Actually it was! It's hard to escape our past. I'm sure there are many on here that would not admit to such things. Might as well embrace it. 🙃
  8. Did anybody watch and listen to the Saturday Night Live 50 years of music special last night? We enjoyed it. This is another program Pat, and I watched weekly and is less than three years older than our marriage. Back then there were just the major network shows to watch. Brought back memories of music Good, Bad and controversial. Tonight will be more SNL 50 years special on the show. More again of Good, Bad and controversial. We will be recording it but most likely watching it live. Just like last night watching so much talent being lost to drug and alcohol abuse. Many of these actors/comedians went on to stardom and many got cut off short. Last night the show was not sugar coated and hope tonight's will be the same.
  9. Sounds really good Jeff! We are hoping this is winters last big squeeze for one more really cold spell.
  10. And I will be ready for that Dutch. forecast low now for this Wednesday night is -10. We could do without this.
  11. They have quite a variety Ham.
  12. Wear pink you will be fine and the local MEN and women will love you. 😆
  13. Hippie stompers are the bomb. As you know the driftless browns like them. Speaking of the driftless I could use a spotted cow right now. 😁
  14. I did know that you were quite the gardener Dutch. If Pat had a sunroom like yours it would end up like a jungle!
  15. Sun room and heat equals growing something edible. Pat had a young doctor she worked for years ago. She had a sunroom attached to her kitchen. She wanted some tomato plants. We bought her a big pot and I planted a sweet 100 cherry tomato plant. Put it outside. It produced all summer. In the fall she put it in the sunroom. It was crazy but she had tomatoes all winter. Outside in the spring again she got some into the summer. Finally it died.
  16. Dang right we do. I know we have several CDs
  17. I always knew you were an American standard!
  18. That's easy, The one feeding the little wrenches is sugarbritches. @fishinwrench is right there in the middle of the nest between the youngest wrenches.

  21. I was calling this a sculpin streamer. Forever now the "Grinch bug" I asked our friend why? He said my grandkids would call it a Grinch because of the color. Alrighty then. I had an idea for this swap but went through a couple prototypes until I decided this was the one. B10S #8, inverting tungsten bead, thread, small wire for the ribbing and pine squirrel strips and peeled the face and substandard strips for the dubbing used. The head/pectoral fin area and body behind is olive chartreuse UV dyed. I did use a black sharpie to dull that down some but still shows under the UV cure light. These little guys ride hook up. The sink test went well on the prototype. I will post that separate so maybe it won't downgrade so much. A couple pictures will be double showing the UV color. You can strip, jig, bounce on the bottom or dead drift. They will catch more than trout I guarantee. Right at an inch and a half inches long.
  22. @Lancer09, Pat and I are ready to mail like @Ham. Hope you are stopping at nine. I am ready for you to stop at nine as I am tired of tying these. My friend was over yesterday. I have a generic name for them, he called them a grinch bug 🤪. So, for now on these are grinch bugs. I will post a pic or several. HA!
  23. 75$ was expensive back then but have you priced tickets that are not in the nosebleed section lately?
