  3. I went there yesterday...they have a good selection of baits, swim baits, etc. Also I was told that they still are stocking their shelves so I would think that items that are not stocked will be. One of our favorite lure painters also was there, that is a good sign. I will go back. z22
  4. I bought mine at the table rock dam office. z22

  13. I am at 14 rods, but there was a time 22 to 25 was not out of the question. I may shuttle a rod in here and there but when its usefullness has expired, back to the garage. z22
  14. Thanks for the info Bill I am still using everything you taught me on that trip when we caught that fish. The biggest is not shown, which went right at 8. That is me fishing with Bill a few years ago. We also caught 6.9 that day. z22
  15. I live on Aunts Creek, the water is as muddy as I have seen in a while. Brings me back to the days when I fished Mark Twain. z22
  16. Hi Dave hope everything is ok

Don't laugh too loud, but I have scrapped my experiment using a 2500C and have bought a spinning rod/reel.

I have used it some but will continue to use it to get accustomed to using this set up.

    Merry Christmea

  17. One of the times that I have been out with Mr. Babler, we discussed exactly what he has explained in this thread. I have gone and bought several Lew's including the $199.99 reel he has described and I am not disappointed. In fact I have turned the majority of my equipment to various Lew's reels. I have had the BPS models just flat fall apart after I moved here and used them everyday. They just won't in my opinion hold up, if you are fishing more than you did in the past. z22
  18. I have over the past few years changed most of my round reels (5500C) to Lews. After fishing with Bill and using them, was what convinced me. I have had no problems so far with the reels I have bought from Lews. They are anywhere from the $100 reel to the $200 reel, all being used with specific rods. I am convinced I have made the right move going to this equipment. z22
  19. I was out today from Aunts Creek to point 12. No problems with navigation. Water color good. z22
  20. I did reasonably well yesterday, 50 minutes each way to sportsmen's factory outlet, 3 ploppers, and 4 rock crawlers, less than 5 minutes, $90. thank you for shopping. I am glad at times he is up there or I would be in the poor house. z22.
  21. Stopped in at Sportsmen's Factory Outlet today, their new shipment of Ploppers are to be delivered today. z22
  22. my preference is a round head with the screw lock, gamakatsu hook may have as many as 3 tied on for worm, centipede, speed craw. z22
  23. Also flat side down most of the time, on a shaky head. very seldom flat side up. 12lb or less floro line, I like this setup better than the C-Rig. z22
  24. Glad to see you guys back on the water. hopefully this will be the end of major big boat traffic for a while so the fishing can pick up some thanks for the report. z22
  25. There is nothing in the world fishing with your son....kids these days you will never forget. Hope this is just the beginning of having a great life on the water with him z22
