If anyone is interested, I was at BPS catalog outlet yesterday. They have 100 mph gortex jackets regularly $140 on sale for like $75 then take another $25 % off at the register. They are out of bibs.
Our driveway has melted a lot. It probably won’t be clear until tomorrow sometime. The warm gale winds should finish it off Saturday. I have to go to the farm Saturday so I’ll probably drive on over to Cape and see if it is clear because I want to go on Sunday if possible.
We’ve had snow, freezing rain and sleet. More than once in the last few days. The last round was freezing rain, then sleet, then snow. That has made it less slick today but not good enough to be out. Come on warm temps. I want to go fishing.
I have BPS 100 mph gortex. It is the only rain wear that I have ever owned that keeps me dry. Before I bought it I drove to the Cabelas in K C and tried on the guide wear. It wasn’t comfortable so I didn’t buy it. Because of the price I bought the 100 mph jacket one month and the bibs the next.
When I saw the post I expected that jerk bait would be mentioned. I wanted to go but I was running out of wood and had to go the farm for a load.
Congrats on some good fish.
Maybe it is your part of the state. In northern Stone County there has been an explosion in the last few years. Before we sold the big farm we had over 200 on it. On the one we have left it is common to see over 40 feeding in the hayfield and bull lot.
I got back from Florida as the rain began. It appears that the snow blower will be coming out tomorrow. They are calling for 3-8”, a far cry from where we’ve been the past week.
