  1. JD, on the back of our packaging, we have a color choice called "Special Run". We are open to color suggestions, but for right now we will stick with 5 colors. That way its one color for every day of the work week ( black and blue Monday, Table Rock Tuesday, etc :)). I cant even begin to tell you how many special colors we've been asked to create. The left over plastic in the sprue of the mold resembles a witch's hat. We sometimes remelt the witch hats to make craws for ourselves, but these "witch hat" craws are not for public consumption. They are basically colors mixed together, and they have 2 different hardness levels. We have a young man in our shop who helps make our craws; His name is Terrance, and he's as good as it gets. He is unbelievably talented and very personable. Every lure is done one at a time, and he takes ownership in the process...So happy that Hog Wally found him.
  2. A few years ago, Hog Wally, MOSmallies , Smalliebigs , and myself, met on this forum and forged a bond through our passion for river fishing. That passion has manifested itself into a new lure company. I know you've Probably been hearing about it from us for a while, so we would like to formally announce the opening of our new lure company, Tackle HD, as of JAN 20, 2017. We are starting out with a few modest offerings, but plan on continually adding more products as we grow. Tackle HD is committed to the design and manufacturing of brand new products to the marketplace. All of our molds are originals. You won't find anything like them anywhere. All of our lures have been designed, tested, and re-tested to have a unique fish catching action and look, and an uncanny attention to detail. These lures are literally spawned on the bank of the Meramec River, in the heart of Missouri's finest smallmouth country. Our jigs have been specifically designed to work with each individual lure we create, but work well with a variety of baits. We will mostly be selling products online, but will sell through a very limited number of retail stores/tackle shops. Our products are made one at a time, all in our humble little shop in St.Clair, MO., by American workers. We're pretty proud of that. We also think it's pretty cool we all met on OAF. Thanks Phil Lilley! Here is the link to our website: www.TackleHD.com You can also keep up with the latest news via Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter! We will soon have a couple of videos on our website that offer instructions on things like rigging the baits, and fishing tips. Along with some success stories and pictures. Here's Al Lindner's son Troy with a giant smallmouth caught on the HI-Def Craw. We would ask our friends and fellow fisherman to like our Facebook page as well! Thank you for your support! Have a great and blessed weekend! Sent from my iPhone
  3. Seems to have a dramatically elevated point, but a small bite. Worth a try, I would like to see them rig it
  4. I saw this a couple of days ago, I can't see a video yet explaining the shape.
  5. Great meeting you last night! I guess the Sr in your name is what made me think you were older... thanks for coming!
  6. It was great meeting you! We already have the molds for the small craw and will be making them soon. You really made my day, driving all the way from Columbia!
  7. That will only last us one hour Pete
  8. It's easier to detect bites Norm when you're not concentrating on the Spandex!??
  9. That's a classic Meramec beauty right there!
  10. Way to go Aaron!!
  11. Drew, wow I cannot imagine what you and your children are going through at this moment. God Bless you and your children. Please let us know how we can help.
  12. Good luck Kayser! You're a good guy! Keep in touch!
  13. Thanks Gavin, I really needed this.... Ness, Thou paunchy elf-skinned giglet!!
  14. Vanish was horrible, the new 100% fluorocarbon is supposed to be a lot better but I've only tried it once and wasn't too impressed
  15. When you were singing "Mail Call!!!"
  16. That's YOUR opinion ?
  17. I added some trees in the background and you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between these and the real trees
  18. IMHO, That trip would've been a no-go without Hog Wally's River pro jet boat , because the water was pretty skinny! Nice to fish with great fishermen like these two. We ran into Smalliebigs up river and he was catching em from the bank! It was fun to get out and fish before the ice storm hits.
  19. It was just a dumping spot I'm sure. I've never had to carry a gun so far, and have not decided yet that I need to. But I may change my mind some day.
  20. The waters have been so low and clear that it's flat out tough to catch them under these conditions. Wait until a warm spell, or a warm rain and go to the river. Make sure the river is either slowly rising from a rain, or wait until the river has settled down a few days after a rain. Rapid falling water is never too good, but a little murky water helps. Fish spots with little or no current when water temps are very cold. Fish slowly as SIUSaluki says....also downsize your baits a little.
  21. Poor drug dealers
  22. I think it depends how good of shape you're in.
