    I had 7-8 old car and trolling motor batteries stacked up in my garage, I got about $68 bucks from Didion Orf recycling in St. Peters

    I get that Joe, All I'm saying is take 5-10 minutes per week to do it, no big hassle at all, and at least you're doing your part. I'm sure most here will clean up after themselves when they go camping, I see this as kind of the same thing, only easier.

    I've really gotten into trying to figure out how I can put more stuff in my recycling can than the regular trash can, it's kind of becoming a big thing with me. Do you guys put old fishing line in the recycle can? What other stuff would you suggest that maybe is not thought of?

    I love the fact that you used the guard hairs on the fox hair part, as well as the undef fur. Almost like 2 different hairs. But if it were me I would attach the zonker a little closer to the hook bend. Is that hook through the hide of the zonker?

    It's one of the reasons I left a flat in the front middle of the jig. So I could still do that. But I added some angles to help it get thru the rocks better.....it's no Bo's jig but it works good with my craw. That what I designed it for anyway.

    Yea, I think the trailer size and weight can easily over power any small jig, rendering the shape of the head a moot point. But if you tie a small amount of hair and a tiny trailer, the shape still matters. To add to what Dave said, I've heard people say a bass will really pop a football jig harder because you can gently pull up the slack in the line and the bait will pivot up because of the shape, making the trailer raise its claws in a defensive position.

    On the 1/8 oz, I use 2/0 Mustad 32729 BLN jig hooks.

    The MDC uses survellience aircraft already. No one said the DOD was going to check for illegal gigging. How did you ever arrive at this conclusion?

    This is exactly why you find a guide with a good reputation and pay the money. He will teach you more in one day than you could probably learn by yourself in a year. If you can afford it, it's a tremendous time savings and learning experience.
