  1. I’ve fished jerkbaits for trout for so long I can’t remember when I started. A good smaller one is a small/medium sized Yozuri Pin’s Minnow. But all of the jerkbaits need to have the required pause in between twitches.
  2. You will soon
  3. Ya know what the N stands for on a Nebraska football helmet? Knowledge
  4. I saw that
  5. That’s because most use wimpy wires
  6. There has been a trend in the last 5 or so years (maybe longer) to reduce the number of skirt strands on jigs. The Dirks jig would probably be the best example. I’m talking less than 20 strands, more like 12-15. It definitely makes the jig more finesse and adds more of a subtle look. It also kind of hides a wire weed guard, which is another good feature. I still don’t get those telephone pole fiber weedguards.
  7. This was her reaction when I told her!
  8. Your butler tells me all the hot gossip! 😂
  9. Was that dock on a main lake point? 😂
  10. I agree with you totally. Some verbiage I received was that the skirt adds secondary movement. I’ve always fished it stand alone after it was perfected. At the beginning I actually designed it as a hair jig trailer for winter fishing...based on our time with Nick. The other factor is some people just can’t seem to give up the traditional jig skirt. It’s just a hard to break habit I guess.
  11. I fish it more than any other lure.
  12. Or you could’ve said… “My parole officer says I need to find a new hobby!”
