    FWIW, I saw a dead cow elk laying on the side of Hwy 44 coming back from Branson the other day.

    I know nothing of the outlet vs normal fishing thing. I drove my daughters up to the first outlet near the dam and we watched the big fish swim around. There really wasn’t a place to stand near the water because the water was up to the steps. An older lady caught a fat 14” or so rainbow in front of us on a fly rod and the showed it to my girls. My girls were greatly fascinated and we thanked the lady for showing us. It seemed the water was up high enough that only one person could fish on the steps. Another guy was overlooking the steps with fly rod in hand…waiting his turn I guess.

    It’s a shame all the restaurants in Branson are severely understaffed. Pretty much everywhere else too. We had to wait a long time at every restaurant. Then we tried to get carry out. Many restaurants refused to make carry out orders.

    I fished Taney yesterday and rented a boat from Lilly’s landing. All I had was a snoopy rod, armed with a Doty jerkbait. What a combo! Had a big brown roll on it. So bad wanted to catch a big brown on a snoopy rod with a Doty jerkbait. We had fun anyway.

    I got rid of cable TV 4 years ago and haven’t looked back. Plus it saves me $120 a month. Got rid of my Facebook account as well after the election.

    If memory serves, all German Tradesmen about 30 years ago started in 8th grade learning the trade. The Engineering school came later. I wonder why the German Engineers are considered the best in the world?

    People don’t respect any laws…game laws, littering laws, any laws.The rules are unfortunately designed for the A-Holes in mind. Can’t tell you how many times I see people throwing trash out the window when driving down the road. I would venture to guess that if a guy were to nicely approach a land owner for permission and explain your ethics, you would be allowed to fish on his property. On the other hand, things can get out of control on a river bar 🏕 camp out. Just ask @jdmidwest
