  1. Nice Job. What kind of weight was it taking to win the tourneys?
  2. I bookmarked this thread with a note to review it about january/february next year as a good reminder. Great post! Slightly off topic, but, Bill do you think this pattern would work on Bull Shoals as well? The only difference I see(as I was out yesterday) at least on the lake it is very hard to find any standing timber in less than 75 to 80FOW. The timber along the bluffs swings can come up from 25ft to the surface, but in the guts of the creeks and big coves if you find it, generally it is in 80+fow with the tops topping out at about 40ft or deeper. Is there anything that sets one tree apart from the others? Or is it just a matter of running your grub past as many as you can until you find them? Thanks for all the educating you do on the boards!
  3. Put in at spring creek for about 3 hours yesterday 10 to 1. Caught two keepers. 16" spot on an a-rig in about 20ft and a keeper LM on the ned, it was the first fish I have ever caught using the highly talked about rig. Ironically was just about to give up on the ned and head home and literally said to myself "last cast", never felt the bite just the weight as I was trying to move it along. It was around 15fow on a transition spot. Water temps between 42-43 on the main lake.
  4. http://www.flwfishing.com/news/2015-03-05-top-5-patterns-from-toho-day-1 Second after day 1.
  5. I tried fishing there I want to say around September near the dam for bass. Only had 1 bass that particular day. Warmest water in the coves we could find was under 60 compared to around 80 on bull shoals and table rock main lake. Enjoyed it though
  6. Have to flake out. Boss said I've got to work. Extremely bummed as big bass tourneys are my absolute fav
  7. ive used this method for several years. works great!
  8. Your hardcore! It was freezing out today! Nice job
  9. Does anyone know if Arkansas has a site similar to this? I know there are probably just as many tourneys on bull shoals that take off from Arkansas side as the mo side.
  10. I'm the same way. I watched a good portion of the live coverage and to be honest, I don't know how much of the production show on ESPN I'll watch. I know they'll just gloss over the fine detail technique stuff for the interviews and fish catches which means I probably won't learn anything new and they'll spend most of the time trying to build drama that isn't there.
  11. great work!
  12. I thought the on the water coverage was the best it's ever been tho
  13. eBay
  14. Where are you located?
  15. Only exception to Bill's opening comment is Takahiro Omori who may just win. he is well known as a muddy shallow water cranker and flipper and he is out drop shotting in 45 FOW
  16. Thanks, I have that set up in my boat for the last couple years. Works really well. 64gb chip can record for about 8 or 9 hours so it is perfect for a day on the lake. I'd post a few of mine I've made but admittedly I'm somewhat of a private person so I just tend to share them with friends and family and as stated, to preserve memories. I actually recorded my proposal to my now wife while out on the boat with the Gopro running. I'd be happy to send a couple of you guys the link if your interested in some ideas from a couple of my videos just shoot me a pm. Most are from clearwater and duck creek from south east Missouri. And for what its worth, my avatar was shot from my go pro mounted on a pedestal in the back of the boat.
  17. This video should answer all your questions about the go pro set up.
  18. Haven't been out since the cold snap. Understandably haven't seen many boats out the last few days since the snow hit. Heard the poor boys tourney out of spring creek last saturday didn't take much weight to win. 15 to 20 boats, only 2 boats brought in limit and that was a high of 55 to 60 last Saturday.
  19. Definitely must've bit better up lake! I only managed one keeper from the Pontiac area Sunday. Threw the rig Til my arm about fell off!
  20. Nice job! And here I keep telling myself I need to fish the clearer water down lake and you prove me wrong!
  21. When I lived over there, every tourney angler knew that from Feb through Mid April, if you weren't fishing Goose Creek North you didn't have a chance to win.
  22. This might be simplifying things. But I've had a temp gauge that always showed 2-3 degrees under my other ones. Some times it varies based on how far the sensor sits in the water too.
  23. Thanks for the info. Guess that was what I was curious about. Just didn't want to show up and it was two folding tables worth of samuri swords and salt and pepper shakers haha!
