  1. I just finished the JRE podcast with Robert Malone(one of the inventors of the mRNA vaccine technology). One of the things that I found most interesting is that the vaccine lowers T-cells, which is why most people (that I know) getting Omicron are vaccinated. The other thing actually I have been hearing since the beginning: the easier it spreads the weaker it is. Omicron is extremely easy to catch, but so far has only had one fatality(worldwide)
  2. Sorry to hear that, hope you get better soon. I had what I figure was the original variant thanksgiving 2020. zero symptoms, had to take a test to find out I was positive. Been directly exposed to delta when my wife/son had it for sure, no telling how many other times. I suggest taking the best care of your immune system that you can for sure.
  3. dont make me get the tinfoil hat out.
  4. Your neighbor is an idiot, or he is trying to bluster and scare you. Pretty obvious a survey outweighs an aerial

    What's Cooking?

Last night I grilled home grown pork steaks and these amazing fresh gulf shrimp from Palacios, Tx
  6. So far all but 1person I know with Omicron variant was vaccinated. I am not starting anything, nor pointing fingers, but I am curious. @Ryan Miloshewski you are vaccinated correct?
  7. If your already sick its really too late for any kind of OTC treatment to do much. I would just keep what your doing and if you get worse go to the doctor. If you have the new variant it sounds like a very high percentage of people who get it have relatively mild symptoms
  8. Definitely no shortage of them. I would like to try eating them, I have never had any
  9. I am fine with that as well. I used to do trips like that alot, I would call them turn and burn trips. take off friday, leave thursday evening, and drive home sunday. You wont regret it. Beefy bass fishing tackle. My inshore saltwater gear is fairly lightweight, I run a mix of braid/leaders and 12lb test flouro.
  10. Anyone interested in going? February is prime time big speck fishing and east matagorda bay is one of the best places on the gulf to do it. Planning on wade fishing EMB or drifting if deep water. Leaving(tentatively) wednesday night the 16th and driving back monday the 21. Staying at a cabin on the creek(which also has great fishing off the dock) and probably doing some surf fishing for big drum. I know @N9BOW @JestersHK have mentioned fishing, anyone else? I am going down there this weekend with the family and will give a report when I get back
  11. its still great to be on the water
  12. I am certainly no winter fishing guru, but I always have a wiggle wart tied on in a craw pattern, always have a jerkbait tied on, and most always have either a ned rig or zigjig tied on when I go to the 11pt. 90% of the time I throw the first two, just because I like them the most.
  13. Thats insane. Its like they want them to fail. I feel so bad for the people I talk to who buy traverse/acadia/equinox without doing research into how terrible they are.
  14. I suspect you run full synthetic, if so don't go by the oil life monitor in the truck, definitely change it every 5k miles
  15. yah the 2v engines were great other than the spark plug issues. my father in law has a v-10 in a beat up 99 f250 with 300k.
  16. They are extremely common, in fact I have not seen a motor that has a bigger issue with them than the 5.7 mopar
  17. have you contacted the owner? Those shots are expensive and painful from what I hear.
  18. I work in mountain home but have never fished BS. I would love to go out sometime. Let me know when. In case my grammar showed otherwise, I am certainly not jealous of someone bragging about catching 5-6lb bass every day. If anything I am happy that someone has them figured out so well that they can win every tournament on the lake. Honestly I almost always fish creeks/rivers because I love the flowing water.
  19. Lots of learning for sure. the 6.0 is a great engine, but ford decided it would be a good idea to remove the coolant filter from the international engine, which led to most of the problems. They each have their issues for sure. I dont like car payments so I stick to older vehicles. My next purchase will probably be a 2005-2006 tundra.
  20. I find this whole post hilarious. Go out tomorrow and catch a 26lb bag and just post photos, we dont need/care for your gps location or even lure.
  21. absolutely nothing has the resale value of a toyota tacoma, its just insane.
  22. I dont fish bull but my friends that do dont normally catch 5 bass weighing more than 5 pounds in a day
  23. There is probably some merit to that. I dont see a ton of 200k ecoboost trucks, but I have never ran a claim on one for oil consumption either. Maybe once they hit 130k they either blow up or last forever? I own three vehicles: 2006 toyota camry(310k), 2007 toyota sequoia(280k), and 1996 f350(380k). We love toyotas, there is simply nothing statistically more reliable.
  24. I must be a hillbilly too because any dog that bites or kills chickens is a dead dog.
  25. for a new diesel? buy a good warranty. I see lots of dodges/fords with high miles on new trucks meaning they are using them for hot shotting and delivering campers. Fords are cheaper to work on(go figure). And the Fords have the fuel rail return setup to go into the fuel filter housing instead of the fuel tank meaning if you have a problem (fuel pump) the metal goes into the filter instead of the fuel tank which saves lots of money. We see have started getting quite a few cam/lifter claims on 5.7 hemi engines then we used to. Dodge has a TSB that says if there is metal in the valve timing actuator then it needs an engine instead of a repair. We see quite a few timing chain issues on the ecoboost, but ford has a special policy on them now that assists up to 90k with partial coverage. Timing chains are cheaper to replace on the ecoboost than cam and lifters in either pushrod engine.
