Those 2 flew low over Pom on Wednesday morning, not quite low enough to make out the pilots but still low and fast.

Many years ago, 25 or 30, in the pre-sonic boom ban days they used to fly jets up the hollow out of Bennett Spring. They could really rattle some windows.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

I see those things in Ft.Smith all the time. I go there once a week for business and they are always flying around. When I was in basic training at Ft. Leonardwood those things would make runs across the battle field area using their mini guns. They would shoot at tanks and it sounded like really loud grunts when they shot. Gives ya a woody!

Glad somebody is enjoying it, that's our tax dollars at work.

I'd rather see my tax dollars going to burning some dinosaurs and our pilots getting in some practice rather than...

oh, say Congress trying a baseball player for lying. Which I find to be not only a total waste of money but also highly ironic.

I live on Kings River near Shell Knob and have seen this for many years. Local story is that a pilot's Mom lived in SK and he buzzed her house but I was never sure that was the case. Mainly because they always flew the same exact pattern time after time, usually see them about twice a year, but I am not home during days. I think there are some A-10's based out of Whiteman but not sure on this.

Anyway they are real cool aircraft, always sounded to me like a giant Hoover vacuum cleaner. Low and kind of slow and always making hard banks and flying sideways.

THOSE A-10'S RUN TWO ROLLS ROYCE TURBINE ENGINES. THEY LIKE THEM DUE TO THE EASY MAINTANCE AND THEY HANDLE THE DESERT AREAS REALLY WELL. AT ONE TIME THEY WERE GOING TO NOT USE THEM THEN THEY FOUND OUT HOW WELL THEY WORKED IN IRAQ IN 92. REGARDLESS WHERE THEY ARE STATIONED THEY ARE SURE FUN TO WATCH. I HAVE HAD THEM FLY OVER SO LOW THAT YOU CAN SEE THE PILOT AND HE WOULD USUALLY WAVE WHILE I WAS AT FT. WOOD WORKIN.
