Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 27, 2013 Root Admin Posted March 27, 2013 My nephew Ryan took this today. It's an electric driven trailer pulling a piece of equipment heading to Table Rock dam. Trailer is strange, different. And the payload must be very heavy. Was escorted by Highway Patrol.
fishinwrench Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 What in the world.....? 32 wheels? Is that thing built out of plutonium? Interesting. I can't wait to hear the story on that (obviously multi-million dollar) piece of equipment.
laker67 Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 I think they will use it to ward off the buzzards roosting on the dam
Jerry Rapp Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 I think it is a new and louder horn for when the generation flow changes. But it is probably part of the equipment that magically makes electricity out of the turbine spin, or a new motor to raise and lower the tainter gates.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 27, 2013 Author Root Admin Posted March 27, 2013 Phil, What was pulling that trailer? That's one of our questions... it's battery operated. Ryan said it didn't make any noise hardly. What you see is what moved down the road. Whatever powered it is the long thing in front of the trailer. It was operated by one of the people standing there. He was holding a remote box with a cord leading to the ... long thing in front of the trailer.
Quillback Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Hmmm, I wonder if they can do this with boat trailers? I'm picturing myself rolling down the highway, standing on the long thing which is in front of my trailer. Truck stays at home, mucho gas savings.

Let's get to work on that.
gotmuddy Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 that long thing on the front is batteries. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
gotmuddy Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 to me it looks like a transformer. it looks like fans on top and the cylinder is likely a CO2 system. everything in this post is purely opinion and is said to annoy you.
