Now the rivers are getting low for the season, its buzzbait time.

Do ya'll have a favorite brand or size that you use often?

Or make your own buzzbaits?

I'm looking for a buzzbait that will spin at low speed.

Counter rotating blades are good for this, but it's hard to find a company that still makes those blades.

I've had very good success with a Herb's Dilly Buzz Spoon.

Its 5/8oz, so that makes it tough to stay up at low speeds.

However, it jumps logs without hanging up.

I've replaced the buzzbait with a horny toad in recent years, but I get tired of changing them out after a couple of strikes.

I like the Cavitron........

Squeaks right out of the box and runs true. Also runs at a very slow speed and makes a nice bubble trail. The only down side is a Roland Martin endorsement! :)

Go to A to Z Sporting Goods, something like that, I know it is A To Z, on old 71 north of Alma. They have just what you are looking for. I got some double bladed buzzbaits there last year. Good prices on them and they are made in Arkansas. In fact they have a ton of fishing stuff made in Arkansas. Check them out.

I think it's a coin toss between Revenge and Cavitrons both are very nice....but, the Revenge is really sweet and gives me confidence and that's what it's all about.

I used to make my own. I would use a larger blade, for a 1/2 oz., and put in on a 3/8 oz. It would slow crawl along just right.
