Hard work pays off? Huh, never thought of that. Maybe you should come down and go to work with us sometime. Bring your steel toe boots, hard hat, electrical PPE, and climbing gear. See you at 0600.

You got it! If I sign on NOW do I start racking up a retroactive paycheck for just chillin'?

Like it or not and as silly as it sounds, the Democrats forced the Republicans into this. Think about it, The bill is passed with no input from the Republicans, the author of the controversial bill says it is a train wreck, the American people consistently poll in opposition to it, Obama himself starts exempting some sections affecting only certain groups, and congress exempted everyone near and dear to them and when the people were outraged they reversed it, but gave them a 75% subsidy.

How could the Republicans sit by quietly and then say they are a different party in the next election cycle? The Democrats built it and they own it and they shouldn't be surprised that the opposition party wants to point out no one wants to fly in it, much less ride in it unless they are the few that are guaranteed no negatives.

Not to pick on you Wayne but it really doesn't matter whose fault it is to most Americans. It's all of their fault. Just a bunch of grown-ups acting like babies. Always needing to blame someone has taken a real negative turn in this country. Like the owner of my company always says, I don't give a rats fatass whose fault it is, I want to know who is going to step up and correct it.

I think there is some sort of vote to today about the back pay.....we'll find out if its a free vacation. I heard someone say yesterday that its already so close to weekend that they don't want to get called back yet. They are welcome for me paying their salary.

This whole thing is a joke and a disgrace, I'm embarrassed and I have never worked for any gov't agency, federal, state, local, or otherwise.

Even as a small business owner I know that much of my business depends on the government. My biggest customers are tier 1 Boeing suppliers, so to say I'm not depending on the government is false. However, the reason we are getting most of the work now is because they know that its cheaper in the long run to hire contractors than have their in-house union personnel do the same work. When I walk into a factory I'm always stepping over work sitting on pallets that is waiting to be finished. This bottle neck is the reason they use outside contractors.

Our founding fathers would love (not being sarcastic) to see what is happening right now. It is exactly what they designed to happen. This is why they set up a system of checks and balances. Something is getting checked right now.

That's true, but I think sometimes they are encouraged because the blame is only along party lines for the most part. Not that the Republicans don't have their skeletons, but just that if each crisis were put in it's proper place, maybe the legislature would eventually learn act as the Founding fathers intended. If the Democrats were taking the that they deserve on the ACA they would probably want the Republicans more involved to share the blame, or in this case maybe put their minds together to create workable bill.
