jpb2187 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I am partial to the F/A 18 Hornet... I remember watching the Blue Angels as a kid and being blown away.
Quillback Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I've always liked the P-38 Lightning. The Japanese didn't like it.
mic Posted November 1, 2013 Author Posted November 1, 2013 Got that right. I've always liked the P-38 Lightning. The Japanese didn't like it. P-38.png
fishinwrench Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I guess I feel the same way about war-planes as I feel about nuclear missles, assault weapons and small lightweight firearms..... they are only good for one thing. When I see any of the above I think of death. Kinda hard for me to be fascinated about that.

moguy1973 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I've never seen that bird (T-45) before. Man she is a pretty sight... great lines also. It was built strictly as a trainer. I used to have a couple really cool super detailed models of one when I was a kid. Not sure what happened to them. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
ness Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Always liked P51 and P38 from the WWII era. My uncle flew reconnaissance in a P38 in the big one. I always liked the Piper Cub too: DeHavilland Beaver Liked the WWI planes too. Sopwith Camel John
fishinwrench Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Well thank you Debbie Downer. I know but someone has to break it to children that not all fast shiney things are just super cool expensive toys.
