dtrs5kprs Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 And there are a few newer warts in there. They do work, just maybe not quite as well at times.
Hunter53 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Balsabee; any chance in hell you would cut loose with a coupe of the firetiger ones? Lost my last one and the smallies up here like it!

Hunter53 Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 Figured that but thought it wouldn't hurt to at least ask.
Sprint21fter Posted January 31, 2014 Posted January 31, 2014 None of Balsabee's collection would catch any fish in Table Rock!!!
Members Engr5 Posted January 31, 2014 Members Posted January 31, 2014 You can usually find them on BBC also for less than ebay, you guys are sharing too many secrets : ), I buy the red label (made in Oklahoma) and blue label (Mexico) during the year in non collectable colors and send to Tim to repaint in the winter.

Tim, the guy at Baitwerks or McGilvrey at Fall Creek Lures can bling 'em up right for ya.
Sore Thumbs Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I can gaurantee u they can't see all the fine details on those things anyway. I bet a solid color that is craw like would be just as affective. Action is why the fish eat em. But those boys sure make em pretty.

Have painted some very detailed baits, but will do just as well on a color that is vaguely craw like. Something green/brown/red with some dark accents. Doesn't hurt if it is a ghost color, or has some flake. The "squiggle" colors are all good examples of the concept. BalsaBee...way I see it, you need at least 3 of each color in the boat box (more is better if it is a going deal), 3-6 identical unopened in the extra box and more at home. BTW, when I travel, my warts sleep inside with me and my traveling companion. Like the old commercial said, she's got Wesson-ality.
