dtrs5kprs Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Old thread, but I've painted 10 or so of the Wiggle Wart blanks from Predator and I like the way they run. Oh no, I thought I'd blocked that tattoo from my mind! Which version did you buy in the Predators? That is one I have not tried yet.
Guest Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 troutgnat, those peach colored craws are awesome. V86 type of color peach is the most overlooked belly color, although I noticed one of the new Rock Crawlers has a peach belly.

troutgnat Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 TrophyFishr, Thanks. Thats been a good color for me.....not the one I threw most recently because of the water clarity but the wart treated me well the other day. Guest Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 5bites, is that a blue belly version of naturalistic green craw? If so, I've got a pre rapala in that color, that was part of the batch you like. I'm willing to part with it, the blue isn't my thing.

Guest Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Why does the blue work better than the orange? I paint a few lures for friends & family, Nobody has requested the blue. In fact, a blue twin tail grub on a green pumpkin/orange finesse jig will stroke the River smallies after a big summer rain. Usually its a swimming jig deal. Makes sense they would hit this color.
5bites Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Here is some pre clear and pre eyes pics of that same wart above. Also one reversed. Sac River Jim 1
5bites Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I'll pass on the wart but ty for the offer. Buying all this stuff to get me painting has been a lot more investment than I anticipated. I should have known better.
5bites Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 The blue belly wart is wedged in a rock up river from eagle rock. I was none to pleased about that break off.
