Having stayed by a few of these guys, most recently in 2011 when the tmt was called due to the flood, the thing that sticks out is the lack of "regional bias" in how they approach the lake. Some of them do not get hung up on the local stuff...smoke grubs, sticks, etc. An example would be Ish Monroe who was at Schooner then. He was looking for fish that would eat his stuff...big swimbaits, frogs, etc. He was in a slip one of those days trying to dry out each piece of tackle in all of his boxes while Leon, Beck, and a few of us less useful folk, worked on the dock cables. It was amazing to see what he had all over the decks.

The other thing that stands out is how aggressively they fish, whenever they can. It is certainly not my speed.

Can't count out Mike McClelland on Tablerock, or Brian Snowden. Really interested to se how they break down the lake. My tournament partner is a Marshall.

Huntest - last I heard they will launch out of State Park area.....with weigh in etc. there for the first three days....I had thought that the final day would be at BPS Branson but don't hold me on that one.

Still waiting to hear if there is a Marshall spot open...or get my $125 back!!

Good. Everything is scheduled down lake and good riddance. We are unlikely to see any competitors up here and I couldn't be happier.

Yeah - last year at Bull Shoals they didn't let me know until 7 days out......had a heck of a time finding a place to stay.

RPS - maybe less likely but there are 108 anglers the first two days before they get to the 50 cut......if it is like last year it was nothing for those guys to run 50+ miles to find "the spot" as there are few true community holes on TR where the fish stack up.

Like someone else said it sure is good for the local economy but I can appreciate the mayhem as we put up with the College World Series every year....it is a love hate relationship. It is amazing how many $$$$ these types of events bring into a community.
