Lvn2Fish Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Keith Combs just caught a five pound smallie, has those huge bugged out eyes!
crazy4fishin Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 On a Saturday? Imagine that. I know sounds crazy right - given that the high will be around 60 with little to no wind the traffic will pick up just because it is a nice day. O to be on the water getting some sun instead of in this office getting my brain fried by my new government approved lighting..... Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker
Members pbd Posted April 5, 2014 Members Posted April 5, 2014 Why would it improve the quality of bass fishing.? Have no idea how that works, taking fish out of the population making it better. Does Kentucky have a problem with the forage base in its lakes? We do not have any problem with feeding the ones we have in here. If we put several million more we still won't have any problem feeding them. As a matter of fact I wish we did have several million more. How they explained it on KY Lake was that the small Kys were so aggressive that they would (& had) over populate and diminish forage for the bigger fish. Taking shorts out for 3-4 years did seem to help. Not trying to stir the pot here, just though that might've been the point some of the Pros were trying to make. If it doesnt apply... OK.
Sac River Jim Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 KDV boated a 7lb class fish and McClelland is making a run at the leaderboards with a 5lb fish in the boat. this is starting to get very interesting
crazy4fishin Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Early on here were the standings - I think it will be a real race to the finish 1) Mike McClelland (45-2) 5 (12-14) 2) Aaron Martens (44-14) 5 (11-14) 3) Kevin VanDam (43-8) 5 (17-8) 4) Mark Davis (42-8) 5 (8-13) 5) Timmy Horton (40-14) 5 (11-1) 6) Edwin Evers (40-13) 5 (10-0) 7) Cliff Prince (40-8) 5 (11-8) 8) Casey Scanlon (40-3) 5 (14-2) 9) Bill Lowen (40-0) 4 (14-8) 10) Kevin Hawk (39-9) 5 (13-0) Crazy4fishinA Cornhusker
jmes Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 This is going to be a great weigh in today, Question on the blog it say M. Davis has caught around 50 fish but the Basstrakk shows only 11. So I'm not sure how accurate it is but it's definately interesting
motoman Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 This is going to be a great weigh in today, Question on the blog it say M. Davis has caught around 50 fish but the Basstrakk shows only 11. So I'm not sure how accurate it is but it's definately interesting - I wondered that too........but I thought I read that KVD was goofing around and said he just punched in some bogus weights to "get some attention". So it sounds like its all dependant on how accurately they keep count on it?
jmes Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I read the same thing to, Also at the Classic when they had the Bass trakk map turn on it's not always accurate either, A friend of mine was down there following different ones around and he pulled it up on his Laptop just to see how accurate it was. he said somtimes it was a few hours before they updated it and sometimes it was pretty dead on. So who knows. Hopefully someone around here will be out tomorrow to verify or not
dtrs5kprs Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Kriet made a move. He was about the only guy who said he wanted sun and slick at yesterday's weigh in, and just repeated it today. Finesse Nation!
Sac River Jim Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 KDV just weighed in 19.7lbs with big bass at 7.8 and hes currently 3rd tied with mark davis with 45.7lbs. behind Aaron Martens with 45.14 and McCelland with 49.13.
