J-Doc Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 That may well be the difference for a lot of the guys sitting in that 9#-11# clump. That is the downfall of so many. Same for me. I used to fish slow but trolling for groceries has ruined me. If I know there are fish around and they are not biting, I'll troll. I gotta get my slow down going this weekend though. I just gotta see if I can catch a few keepers on the same lake the pros are fishing on. Its a pride thing now. Lol Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
Bill Babler Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Thumbs you need to learn how to take a picture with some background in it. How do you expect us locals to know in Ozark vernacular. "Where you was." http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com

"Where you was." Definitely. Needs a resort, water tower, power line, in the background. Did see one of my favorite spots in a pic this am, right down to a particular bush. Maybe the wart deal just has to do with the fish finally deciding to move.
Sore Thumbs Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 After watching today it made me feel a little better. These guys were fishing a lot of the same stuff I do. They are just much more precise and meticulous. Roy retied his baits at least 20 times today. He did fish stuff that was a little less obvious to someone like me. Might not look as good to the eye but when he fished those spots they were just like the obvious stuff just under the surface. Learned a lot today.

Great experience. I'm jealous. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. motoman Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Question. How do you get to be a marshal? - I believe you just have to sign up and pay the money well in advance; then wait for the word if you got in or not? But, someone more 'in the know' will clarify. - Also, to all you Marshall's; (Alex:-) please give us all the good, and not-so-good details of your experience when the tourney is over. I was going to sign up this year, but couldn't make scheduling at home work out.:-( and I'm dying to hear about the details of your experience!:-) I'm excited as all heck for you Marshall's that got in this year!:-)
dtrs5kprs Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 Folks in the know are telling me they think they will really bite the wart tomorrow. As I said, I am usually wrong on the pro deal. We'll see Of course a wart is not necessarily a "fast" bait either. Depends on how you pull it. Shoot, regular old jigs are fast compared to my standard stuff.
willyfish Posted April 4, 2014 Posted April 4, 2014 If these guys are burning that much gas they aren't throwing jerkbaits. To me this boils down to who can make the most casts in a day with there favorite crankbait in the dirtiest water. Mix in a jig every now and then and ya get the trophy.
