Nothing special. Warts and jerkbaits. They caught them all over the lake. They made sure to fish every spot thorough that might hold a fish such as a laydown or rock transition. Threw lots of baits at things like this when they came across them.

I'm jealous to say the least. I can think of a million questions to ask. In your mind what separates these guys from you and your buddies that you fish with. Is it their mechanics of working a rod and reel in casting? Do they read water better? Versatility? I know you could probably say all of the above but did you see anything that stood out.

I would say just the overall decision making process. When to make a change and when to stay in a location. Of course they have better mechanics than us, but that has to do with they give 110% on every cast and every retrieve.

I agree Alex. I learned a lot in my 2 days on the water with these guys. I learned mostly to be better prepared and take the extra time to make sure I work areas more thoroughly than I have. I drew Bradley Roy and Brandon Card. Both young were young fellas. They were great guys and extremely professional. Very forthcoming with knowledge and tips to help.

Great post and pics Alex and Sore.

I'd love to hear anymore details about the experience you happen to think of; re: what these guys do to seperate them from us mere mortals.
-
Not necessarily spots or baits, but some of the stuff Willy mentioned above. Like how long do they fish a spot before leaving it? Even if they catch a fish, or don't catch a fish?
-
Interesting to hear they are more thorough at working a spot over, especially with the clock ticking.

(You may not be at liberty to answer) But did they go into how they break down a lake in practice so quickly? And why did they choose to fish where they did, and when they did? Did they take a scientific approach to it? Gut instinct? Both ?:-)

Like I said, I'm really fascinated by the thought process. I need to just Marshall one of these days and see for myself!

Thanks again guys!

how about the electronics on their boats guys have you noticed any little quarks they do different pertaining to using the new systems do they pick up little things that some of us might overlook and how bout boat control how far they set themselves from targets the angle they set their boats anything different on how they run banks and ect. do they target different areas on a bank they want to fish and move fast in between them or do they work the whole bank. yup ive got tons of questions too. guess the best way would be to try to marshal sometime.
