Terrierman Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 It will catch rock bass and smallmouth in moving water pretty good too. I made the first several of mine with a regular strike king worm cut in half, not the elaztech. Use a regular ball head jig with the monofilament brush guard with about half of the filaments trimmed out and length trimmed to just barely protect the point of the hook. I have to admit the super glue idea was new to me and it's the nuts. I did learn that regular worms will destroy the elaztech in a few days.
Ham Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 . I did learn that regular worms will destroy the elaztech in a few days. Yep. Lots of plastics and JIgheads will work, but the elaztech and little mushroom heads are such a good combo. He who shall not be named and his cohorts sweated out the details for everyone else. I geared up as suggested and fish with out worrying if I could be doing better if I had a better combo of plastic and lead. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Darn thing works. Period.
LarrySTL Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Linda Rondstat has Parkinson's and Joan Baez is NOT dead.......... As for the NED, Charlie Brewer slider is pretty close with a slightly less minnow looking profile. This whole dead stick thing has always done well. The Japanese have a dead stick technique with a different name but they are all very similar. Thank you Mitch, you just saved me a pile of money, because if Joan Baez was dead, I was going to feel compelled to grab a last minute flight to Oregon in the morning and see her play tomorrow night. I've never seen a dead singer perform before.... well....maybe Keith Richards. http://intervenehere.com
