moguy1973 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Im pretty sure the Strike King Zero's are made by elaztech, its eactly the same plastic that Zman uses, bc they produce them for Strike King. If you can get them cheaper, by all means do it. I just figured something with the name Strike King on it would be priced higher than one with Z-man on it. I actually didn't know there were other baits made of Elaztech. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Guest Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 If you look at both packages, there's an elaztech symbol on there. Same exact material, different name brands. GMC & Chevrolet
Pepe Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Why?. Good question but we might just be getting "Trolled" Names get attached to baits & systems based, often, by the writers who popularize them
Guest Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Most people won't go thru the trouble of pre rigging but it's not that hard once you get the hang of it. Ned calls it the zman rig or the midwest finesse rig, but never has he called it a Ned rig. I've spoken to him several times & he's very humble.
Wayne SW/MO Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Many of you should have been around when the Texas rig and plastic worms came on the scene. It was no easy chore to get bass fisherman to fish an artificial like a live bait. Overcoming the urge to react was comical at times. I know some of you remember. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.

It was no easy chore to get bass fisherman to fish an artificial like a live bait. Overcoming the urge to react was comical at times. I know some of you remember. Paul Dallas remembers well. I began fishing with plastic worms long before they were cool . . . before the advent of the multi-drawered hinged tacklebox, long before foot operated electric trolling motors, and before Linda Ronstadt ever first sang Blue Bayou, and before Johnny Morris ever opened a package liquor store on North Glenstone and decided to sell a few fishing lures as a convenience item to go with your 6 pack of steel canned Schlitz . . . .
Wayne SW/MO Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Yeah pre-plastic Heddon owned the lure business and every gear fisherman cranked them. many. I won't mention any individuals, early thought making a worm out of plastic that look pretty realistic was a gimmick. Almost as bad as the stiff plastic line used on the French reels that looked like ma's Mix Master in action. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Old plug Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Well I never thought there were many on here in here over 70. I can remember plain black port rind used on small jigs alone. I can remember the days when fisherman were there to have a good time not look and act smug. I can never remember in the old days any fisherman giving out information at the level I see on here. Some on here want nothing more than to be told where to go, and what to use. I would not feel I accomplished anything fishing by someone else's specific instruction. The finding of the fish is my job. Then if the information does bot pan out some will blame blame who ever gave you the info for any failure they might have have.
5bites Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 So you think people sharing info on here is bad? Or you think that people rely on it to heavily?
