cwc87 Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Nice catch. Not easy to land one that big from a canoe. Congrats on the plus twenty they don't come that often.
Greasy B Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 Excellent! There must be something special about a Gunfish, I had a similar fish doing summersaults over one yesterday. His father touches the Claw in spite of Kevin's warnings and breaks two legs just as a thunderstorm tears the house apart. Kevin runs away with the Claw. He becomes captain of the Greasy Bastard, a small ship carrying rubber goods between England and Burma. Michael Palin, Terry Jones, 1974
cnr Posted September 18, 2014 Author Posted September 18, 2014 Nice catch. Not easy to land one that big from a canoe. Congrats on the plus twenty they don't come that often. Thanks. Yeah, I was a little apprehensive to stick my finger into it's mouth when it was filled with a Gunfish. Made me want to have a small net handy. Though it would of been worth a hook in the finger! :-)
joeD Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Hey, what about me! I took the picture. I paddled him everywhere at his behest. I DROVE him there. He made me drink Buffalo Trace bourbon on he river. Geez. I practically had to dress him. (No I didn't. He had waders on the milquetoast , I of course, was wearing shorts). Gawd, The very idea,,
cnr Posted September 19, 2014 Author Posted September 19, 2014 Oh please. Catch a 20" fish and I will take your picture. But, thanks for being an excellent guide and fishing partner.
Johnsfolly Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Seems like some giant smallies are being caught this year. I just can't seem to get out after them. Great catch!
