Quillback Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 Wrench are you Old Plug's spokesman? He's usually the one to give us grief whenever we get too wrapped up in these lure discussions. Plug where are you?
fishinwrench Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 Wrench are you Old Plug's spokesman? He's usually the one to give us grief whenever we get too wrapped up in these lure discussions. Plug where are you? Naw, we just live on the same end of the pond. It's probably something in the water. I totally understand y'all polishing your warts. After all, it is YOUR wart, you can polish it as hard and fast as you want to.
Quillback Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 Wow, almost $3,400 for the V44. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271700298402
David Unnerstall Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 That is insane!! I'm in the wrong business And so is Wrench. He should be up on my bookcase beside Patrick McManus.
Bluff-Bassin Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 I fish with a Bass Club out of Gainesville, mo, and we had a PRADCO rep come to show us new product at our last meeting. One of our club members owns a local tackle shop so he brings them in every year to speak and do their schpeel about new products. Anyways, towards the end of the meeting we got to talking about wiggle warts. He said that they haven't made any press releases and its still in the trial stages but the company had approached David Fritts about producing a hardbait that would work in same areas and with the same effectiveness as the Warts. He said Fritts has been working on it for about two years now and he'd seen them in person and raved about them. He didn't have any to show us the other day, but he made the claim - you'll stop throwing your old warts after these come out, even the pre raps. He said their target date for release was around 9/15. Take it for what its worth of course...
Sac River Jim Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 the one thing that i didnt read on the difference between the two is the pre warts were made from a denser plastic allowing it too not rise as fast. I've also read that the lead rattle puts out a sound closer to that of a crayfish coming out of its hole in early spring. ive found from experience that the rougher or more uneven the seam is on the pre rap warts the better they hunt. just my two scents on the subject.
Champ188 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 This is unconfirmed, but I heard there are highly skilled/trained frogmen who work under the dark of night recovering pre-Rap Warts lost by fishermen who lack a suitable lure retriever. Each night they scour the nooks and crannies of Table Rock, taking their bounty back to headquarters, which is covertly tucked away beneath the floor of the lake (this is also where the black helicopters are kept). The Warts are then repainted and sold on eBay for exorbitant prices, and the proceeds are forwarded to the United Nations and various terrorist outfits (ISIS, the Taliban, etc.) for the not-so-distant day when they overthrow the federal government and we all start wearing towels on our heads and bathing only once a month. abkeenan and Sac River Jim 2

Actually I mentioned to my wife the idea of taking a "wart" trip to TR every year to look for warts. Wait till they pull her down to 910-911 or so. Not that outlandish of an idea.
dtrs5kprs Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 My "new color" box just arrived from BPS this morning. Will update once I have opened it. If they look good, I will hold off updating until the available stock is gone.
