What about an A-Rig Float n Fly? Like 50 flies. ????

I think they would have to be pre-Rapala flies to work. Otherwise you'd just be wasting your time.

I'll wait for the megabass version.

Cheapskate. Everyone knows Roman Made makes the best of the best. Who cares about cost? I just bough a V-44 Blue Mackerel Wiggle Wart on Ebay. Don't ask what I paid for it. Already took it out of the pack and threw it for a bit at the local pond. Caught a 22lb 6oz largemouth on a certified scale and then ate it. The V-44 already paid for itself in my book.

 This thread is covering it all! Funny stuff.

Limited fnf experience -- probably 15 bass caught on it two years ago and most did not pull the bobber under. It lays over. Just not sure you'd see the bite with a slip bobber. Did not catch any last year in the same locations so clearly I need practice. I may have a rod for sale if they ignore it again this year. And yes coffee is a plus while waiting.

megabass fly. probably coming. The durn punishers I bought were costly enough.

I'd like to thank my FUTURE sponsers: Falcon Rods, Jewel Bait Co, and Seagar

I think an A-rig with 5 of those V-44's would be a bass killer for sure.

Just can't decide between the Float-n-Ned or the Ned A-rig. Will need a new rod for each set-up.

What kind of bobber did you use, tapout?

Hey Champ,

Let me preface what I am saying with a reminder that I had limited success, but I don't think my set up was the problem.

Braid or nano tied directly to a 3 way swivel, pear shaped hard foam float clipped to the three way swivel, and finished it with leader tied to 3 way swivel and the fly (jig). I like the punisher jigs. I have a few others that I like as well.

Thanks, Ham. Sounds exactly like what some of the Tennessee boys use. Bet it works great.
