Members hunter_3780
I have been thinking of getting another graph for the front of the boat to try my hand at dropshotting. I have a hummingbird 798si at the wheel and I definitely cant afford another one of those to go on the front. I would like to stay in the 250 dollar range for a good graph for the front but I have no idea where to start. all the hummingbirds I have looked at in that price range look like junk, but some of the lowrance units look pretty good. can you guys point me in the right direction of a cheaper graph that is sensitive enough for me to try dropshotting with? merc1997 Bo
if you happened to watch the deep water video that i posted, you would notice that i use two very inexpensive lowrance units. the one on the console is a lm480 which they do not make anymore. the one up front is a mark 5 pro. either on is under 200. bo
motoman
On my old boat; I had a hummingbird 767. Yup just one.........BUT..........I had a hummingbird quick release bracket on the bow and console. Second transducer on the trolling motor. Just push the button on either bracket when going from console/bow or vice versa; and had the graph with me, then snapped it in.......easy-easy..........It was no big deal at all and a lot cheaper than 2 seperate units. - Just a thought.:-)

I would only have to learn one depth finder this way.
aarchdale@coresleep.com
Trolling motor Transducer alone will be over $150 shipped unless you can find one cheaper. I couldnt find one cheaper when i was looking. http://universalmania.com/humminbird-xtm-9-si-180-t-trolling-motor-transducer/ My dad has a Garmin 550c on the bow of his boat, i think it is a little over $200 on that some site. I really like it just as much or better than my Hummindird. I can see little crappie jigs on it no problem and it is simple to use

Trolling motor is going to be a bit crowded with transducers.... Enjoyed the video Thanks Bo! “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein

Made mention to a buddy that you are better with that graph than I am with an HDS12touch console and 7touch up front. Your video reminded me that it's a lot more about the carpenter than the tools! Dutch
You might want to check out BOE marine's web site and see what they have on closeout. They normally beat any other deal I can find.
