Saw lots and lotsĀ and lots of beautiful fields and tidy farms the last couple days.Ā After the reunion we wentĀ on a quest for sweet corn to bring back home. The timing was a little off but we asked around and found a guy selling it late in the day in Maquoketa.Ā Good dude who was fun to talk to. Wish he wasnāt 6+ hours away!Ā Brought a bunch home in the cooler,Ā blanched it, cut it off he cobĀ and froze it. Hard to get it into the freezer bags because I kept eating it along the wayš. Got it done and saved a few days worth to eat off the cob.Ā WeĀ grabbed a nice, ripeĀ Cherokee Purple and a bunch of Sungolds from the garden, and diced them onto some whole fat cottage cheese. BoiledĀ a few cobsĀ of theĀ super tender corn for just a few minutes and pulled it all together for a greatĀ summer meal. Summer perfection!!Ā BilletHead, Johnsfolly and rps 3 John
