The "jelly" is the best part.  I open a can of Vienny's, take out the sausages and toss them, and then eat the jelly with a spoon.

Next time you are in New York City, be sure and get a Dirty Water Dog from one of the street vendors.

I was there a few times for work and our VP would eat them.  I just couldn’t do it.  I didn’t pass up steaks at Sparks or Peter Lugers though😁.   Some of the best meals I’ve had were in NYC and New Jersey believe it or not.   We had an office in Asbury Park and rail spur in Elizabeth to service NYC.  Had some legit Italian in Jersey.  Great to visit but I wouldn’t ever live there.

I was working on a project in NYC, were really busy and for a quick lunch the local guys said let's go get some dirty water dogs and get back to work.  I figured those guys ate them all the time and were still alive, so I got a couple.

I ate at some famous steakhouse in NYC but I can't remember the name.  Fortunately it was on the customer's dime because it was expensive.

I'm not worth what it would take to pay me to live there.

Do not have any plans to go to NYC. I would not go there if I had everything free trip. Not for me. Give me the country setting anywhere.

NYC is expensive, dirty, smelly, noisy and the people are generally a-holes. Unless they're trying to sell you something and then you're 'my friend'.

I've been a few times on business. Got to go to the dealer desk on the edge of a futures pit many years ago. It was really interesting to see the open outcry trading with hand signals, shouting, bumping, etc. The guy I was with gave me a quick overview of the signals, then pointed out to me who the 'big swinging d***s' were to watch.

I went to a conference a few years back and stayed in Times Square. Got to see Naked Cowboy. Yippee. I had hotel food for the most part but did get out for some pizza. They know pizza.

I'm picky about where my hot dogs come from. I'd eat one of @Terrierman's before I'd eat one from a NY street vendor :D

Edit: Found some pics. This was 2011

This guy got pissy because I took his pic without giving him money
