The chicken shown is what remained from the half chicken I roasted two or three days ago. I removed the bones and roasted them until dark brown, then simmered them in the store bought broth for two hours. Then I removed them and began to build the soup. Johnsfolly 1

Evidently the guy raises them for food😁 One of my co-workers is from Jamaica originally and that's very common there. He eats it here too, but not sure where he gets it. He loves it. Talks about curried goat usually. John

Evidently the guy raises them for food😁 I have had curried goat at a Jamaican restaurant at the request of a friend of mine. I liked it. Felt like goat needs a decent braise. A little gamier tasting than lamb. More like mutton.
MOPanfisher Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 Been a few years but nothing wring with goat meat. Few years ago I had th idea to buy a fat goat and smoke it for a July gathering. Didn't realize that people thought their goats were made of prime rib. Bought most of a pig instead. Goats have gotten extremely popular on small hobby farms in recent years, still can't believe they are worth much but they do. Even have seen references to "goat quality hay" which is kind of like "redneck quality beer". bfishn 1

Johnsfolly Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 Would rather they had been handpicked shrooms but were still really good! BilletHead 1
