I want to start to add bone broth to my diet but the newer store brands seem to be loaded with sodium, which isn’t good for my blood pressure. Full Circle Organic is 230 mg (10% daily requirement) for one cup. I haven't tried it yet though. The Upshot coffee shop in Cottleville makes and sells homemade. Bunch of different flavors. I'm going to try it.
Terrierman Posted July 11, 2020 Posted July 11, 2020 There are tons of recipes online. I've got a friend who thinks it's a good thing. Makes his own.

So I had some bad heartburn issues, was taking about 10-15 tums or Rolaids a day. I tried Omeprazole and other blockers and had trouble with those as well. I really don’t feel good about taking meds. Maybe my Chinese wife convinced me of this. But I’ve heard studies about those blockers causing dementia and or Alzheimer’s...now I forgot what I was going to say!! 😂 Anyway I read some things that convinced me to give up coffee as a first try, I did it. Man was that a rough 10 days!😵. I’ve replaced my Morning coffee with Bone broth which is supposed to be great for repairing the gut and many other benefits. The collagen and other beneficial ingredients seemed to make me feel better almost immediately. I also rarely have to take any Tums anymore. I was just afraid of all the sodium in the commercially produced bone broth. My blood pressure has been up to 145 over 95 which isn’t great. I want to be around for my children as long as possible. ❤️ Gavin, snagged in outlet 3 and BilletHead 3 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor

Last year my blood sugar started bumping into pre diabetic range. Even though I was low carb for the previous 3 years. Followed Dr Fung and found out the ole eat 6 times a day to keep your metabolism up is bad. Now I fast 17 hours per day, low carb and 2mad. Took 3 months but my blood sugar is now normal. I haven’t had sugar since Father’s Day but I don’t like the path you get on with blood sugar meds. Mitch f and Gavin 2

Put the bones and cartilage in a pot. Break the long bones first. Cover the bones with water and add 1/2 onion (unpeeled), one carrot, one celery stick, one clove garlic, a bay leave, a sprig of thyme, a brush of parsley, and, if you have it, some white parts of a leek. Simmer just under boiling for half a day or over night. Skim the froth and fat cap. If you are working with fish, include the cheek, head, and eyes, but eliminate the gills. Also 2 hours max. To sound cool, call it fume. ness 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
