On Friday we ate dinner at my favorite BBQ place in Missouri - Kehde's BBQ in Sedalia. Fall off the bone ribs were delicious. If you get there early you can sit in the old train car and have your meal.

Anyone been to Louis Lunch in New Haven CT? Supposed to have served the first hamburger in US back in 1898. Still cook them the same way all of these years later.  They also still serve them only on white bread and no catsup. They were pretty good burgers.

Pepe's is a great pizza place in New Haven as well!

Think I saw Louis' mentioned on DDD or something like it.

Always wanted to get to New Haven for the Pizza. I think Pepe's is the one known for the white clam pizza.

Pork shoulder roast, around 3 pounds. 180 to 220 degrees, with hickory, 14 hours. No wrap, just smoke.

This looks so darn good. What type of smoker do you have? Also what internal temperature do you finish with?

I have the small Kamado Joe Jr. I never had to replenish the coals in the entire 14 hours.

I cook at 180 to 225 until the meat is between 190 and 200.

I hope to be in Charleston next April..

I suggest you visit. If the franchisee is any good, you will love the dogs. I order three regular and either root beer or Bud. What I have left in the day determines the beverage.
