Juicy medium rare hamburger steak from the charcoal and cherry wood grill. So the morels are on their way out so this was the last of what we had. Good thing is the garden lettuce is coming in big time. Actually need some pickers. Today it was wilted black seeded Simpson. Got my greens today with two big bowls. Hope it offsets the bacon and the bit of bacon grease that was mixed in. IMG_20230422_131538594.jpg

Duck souvlaki (mallard speficially) with homemade tzatziki sauce and cucumber/onion/tomato salad. Very, very good.

I will try again.

I did a vegetarian version. I sauteed napa cabbage, green onion, shredded carrot, and mushroom with ginger and garlic. I added cut up cooked vermicelli. I spiced the mix with a small amount of soy and sesame oil and shaoxing wine.. Then I wrapped per a video I watched.

Yea! It may have been the name of the oriental mushroom.

Been thinking about this dish for some time, lamb shank curry. I saved two of the deer shanks from my '21 buck for this recipe. Pretty simple recipe massaman curry can of coconut milk, chicken stock, onion, cinnamon, and star anise. Also a few small potatoes. Braised about 3 hours covered and about 30 to 40 mins uncovered. Didn't have more basmati rice so used noodles. Delicious. Not too much coconut so with some heat as well.
