Tried something new, and it turned out well. Plan to make more for river snacks.

Roast chicken, dressing with scratch gravy, Brussels sprouts chiffonade.

Cassoulet - duck leg (confit), garlic sausage, pork, beans, duck stock, herbs and spices, time.

Saw this dish somewhere and thought — we like everything in it. Pasta Puttanesca. Garlic, olive oil, anchovy paste, tomatoes, capers, olives (Kalamata), red pepper. Good stuff, but hard to get all the goodies on the fork. We’ll do again but might try a different pasta.

One of my favorites! I use linguine. And a bib.
