tjm
or canned mackerel or salmon, whole wheat pita bread dipped/spread with olive oil, cottage cheese or yogurt, fresh grapes I had an assigned nutritionist for a while with the VA, all kinds of easy to do healthy food according to her. Low salt canned veggies may not be pretty but they are nutritional and quick. She did say to limit dried fruits like raisins though because apparently they have heaps more sugar than fresh fruit or it's more concentrated. On the sardines, I prefer canned in Poland or Norway since they stopped canning them in the USA. BilletHead and Mitch f

Seen a deal on the news. In the states now we have speciality sardine stores. The amount of information and opinions about sardines is off the charts. We bought a sampler pack from this company. Have two tins left. This post reminded me to get them out. rps
Chilled olive oil sauteed veg, nuts (pine nuts, pecans, walnut), cheeses like mozzarella pearls, tomatoes, pita bread triangles, hummus, babaganj, olives, tuna and sardines and other tinned fish, grain like farro cooked with lemon and artichoke, and giardiniera all pack well in a lunch box. The combinations are huge. Buy one of those multi compartment containers and go to town. BTW smoked salmon would also fit the profile. Good luck. Take care of yourselves. Grilled the fat side then smoked it fat side up to 135 degrees Looks good! It’s very rare to see a tri-tip where we shop. I’ve done steaks but never a roast. It’s a good cut of meat. snagged in outlet 3 1 John

It’s a good cut of meat. I bought it in hollister at harter house. They always have them around 8.99/pound so I tried it. Around here it’s rare to see them and when I found them they were $17/pound. Very good for $9/pound. BilletHead, ness and Quillback
