MOPanfisher Posted August 8, 2016 Posted August 8, 2016 RPS your left over are better than many of my meals, why just yesterday I had a reheated pizza from the gas station, served with ranch dressing and vintage (probably at least a month old) lime-a-rita over ice, yeah that was the best part.
joeD Posted August 9, 2016 Posted August 9, 2016 The Amish don't fish for smallies. Just one of the myriad enjoyable and life affirming things the Amish DON'T DO. Your selective admiration is appallingly condescending.

ness Posted August 10, 2016 Author Posted August 10, 2016 Made a couple servings of 'salad bar' gumbo last night. Green pepper, onion, celery, ham and chicken all from the local megamart salad bar. Chicken stock, paprika, thyme, cayenne, parsley, salt, pepper, Worcestershire, hot sauce. Tony Cachere's instant roux and some pre-cooked shrimp. Voila! 30-minutes, one pot. John

snagged in outlet 3 Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 My dear sweet mother in-law was on vacation in Florida a couple years ago. She knows we like shrimp so she brought some "fresh" back for us. Front of the bag says not for human consumption only to be used for fish food or bait. Or some language similar to that. Luckily she just dropped it off so later we told her it was great. tho1mas 1
ness Posted August 10, 2016 Author Posted August 10, 2016 Reminds me of this -- spotted in the store a while back. I just love the 'Good eating too...' slogan. Notice, they're not specific about good eating for what! rps 1 John
MOPanfisher Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Ummm, having fallen for that once upon a time, NO they are NOT good for eating. tho1mas and ness 2
