Google bierock, Gavin. Geez. No cabbage in a Maid Rite. We don't need more than one JoeD. Really, we don't even need one JoeD. Just doesn't add anything to the conversation.

As for pressure cooker pork -- I get it. It wasn't supposed to replace smoked pork. Open your eyes you BBQ snobs.  It's got cabbage in it. Not even in the same category. Try it befofore you write it off.

I don't know if I have eaten and pressure cooker pork but have sure eaten a lot of it out of a crock pot.  No its not the same as from a good smoker but doesn't mean it's not good.

I haven't had a bierock in years, the burger looks very tasty.

This gets the beef and cabbage thing going with the ease of a burger bun instead of the trouble of a dough. I'm kinda likin it.

And then there's pork started on the smoker or grill and finished in the crock. That's the way I've been doing it and I like it a lot.

What I like about crock pot pulled pork is the ability to put it in, along with spices etc., turn it on and the next day at church or whatever it is ready and tender, haven't had any complaints.  Especially since my smoker gave up the ghost, either need to replace the gas regulator system on the smoker or replace the whole thing, probably with electric this time.

I just enjoy the pressure cooker pork because it's something I can come home from work, sear off the bacon, throw in the pork, and set it and forget it for a couple hours and have melt in your mouth pork for dinner.

Pressure cookers are great for quick tender meat meals of all kinds and the new electric ones that have all the presets and sear functions make them one pot deals.

Best pulled pork I've done was born out of a need to do a lot of stuff for a party that grew from a handful to a dozen the day of. Seasoned the butt heavily with rub then chunked it up. Did it for a a couple hours on the Weber kettle before moving it to the crock. Threw ribs on after that. Indirect heat with wood chunks. I like the ease, and don't think there's anything at all wrong with the flavor. I start ribs on the kettle and finish in the oven too. Not going to replace my smoker.

With all due respect I can't stand crock pot meat.  I can taste boiled meat a mile away and it turns my stomach.  Not trying to be Joe D but it is what it is.

No roasts, soups or stews?
