Terrierman Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Creamed as in smooshed or creamed as in a white sauce? I liked the post either way, but this little feet is important ? In white sauce with real cream and real butter and real pearl onions that she would parboil. It would go in more or less order get the onions ready, make the white sauce, blanch and not much more the peas, combine and serve. ness 1

Terrierman Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 So, how are you about pea soup? It's one of my winter things to love. Little cubed pieces of ham, that darned onion again and lots of those wonderful peas, cooked to tender deliciousness. Deadstream 1

Took me a while to get there, but it's really good. Kinda in there with lentil soup. Good comfort food, and the onion and ham are definitely welcome. Just joking about the parboiled onion in creamed peas. Though I haven't had it that way, I do get it. John

About the size of the last joint of your little finger after peeling. They are kind of a pain. Maybe a half cup of onions to two cups of peas and then enough white sauce. ness 1

We eventually voted them off the island, but as an adult I can see they could be good. From what I've seen they're a bit of work and the tenderness varies a lot. But enough about that. This is a celebration of peas! John

Gavin Posted May 12, 2017 Posted May 12, 2017 Have never had "Good" with those vile green round orbs. Would rather eat canned or frozen Lima beans. Best use for frozen peas is to chill a black eye, or to cool your nut sack after a vasectomy. Our just toss them in the trash if found in freezer or fridge.
