Those of you who have used an egg, any pizza tips you care to share? I will take hints from those cooking outdoors by way of a kettle mod, etc. as well.

RPS, We don't have a pizza stone but the top of our largest Dutch Oven is designed to be used as a grill.  Candy made a pizza and I put in on the lid and cooked it in the egg.  It turned out well.  I was concerned that most of the heat was coming from underneath but that was not an issue.  But one thing, the crust was great that night but as leftovers it was difficult to chew.

What temp? Did you preheat the dutch oven lid?

This has been four years ago.  I am pretty sure I kept the temperature between 425 and 450 because that is what is written on all frozen pizza's.  But I only vaguely recall pre-heating the lid.

Candy and I and the teardrop went to Yellowstone, the Grand Tetons and the Black Hills last month.  This is our first meal camped in Yellowstone.  I bought the steak from Paul's Meat Market in Ferguson -- they call it the Cowboy Cut.

Earlier this week the first pick of peaches showed up at the farmers market. I just put a rustic peach tart in the oven. Recipe is on my blog.

Well I am on Grampa duty in springfield and have no electricity.  However somwtimes you get lucky.  I had stopped on the way in and picked up stuff for what I can a summer salad.  A garlic/rosemary rotisserie chicken, box of spring mix salad, few tomatoes, a cucumber then waded through some pretty sad fruit.  Need up adding a couple mangoes, fuji apples, a few peaches that were almost ripe, and a box of big strawberries.  And a loaf of chewy Italian bread.  Deboned the chicken and everybody can add what they like, no electricity required.
