Man, you are becoming the classic glass-half-empty guy. I'm gonna have to lump you in with some of the infamous others here if you keep it up. Gavin could use the company I guess.

DAAANNGGGG! That's offensive to Gavin. You owe him an apology.

It was a joke ya know. I'd use one but that would mean all my burgers would be on fire at the same time.

Hard to cook to order too :) . Big fire on one side of the grill and little fire on the other side I suppose so only half will be on fire,

I'm wondering who's gonna eat the other 6 burgers.

Naw, he owes me an apology. I fed his butt and helped him out to boot, and all he could say was my meat tasted boiled. Not even a thank you for dinner, ness. As a side note: there was no water used in the making of the pulled pork so it's plain old Crock Pot prejudice, nothing else. He won't suffer any ness BBQ again.

Ther, I got that off my chest. 😄

Ness, your BBQ was  good and I apologize for calling it boiled. Thank you for dinner, thanks for joining us, hope we can call it bygones and do that trip again.

Nope, not at all. We're good. I've known Gavin for probably 15 years -- he's a good guy. It's a good group of guys that I'd share a campsite with any time.

Working on my version of zuchini boats.  Over sized zuchini, peeled, split lenghwise, and gutted.  Nuked until basically done.  Add garlic butter, some mild rotel with green chilis, Italian mixed cheese, and topped with chopped ham.  Fast, easy and delicious.  Served with a size of sliced maters and cottage cheese, I might die from the healthy aspect of it all.  But still a summer favorite.  Hopefully I will remember to take a pic.  Also raided the herbs and chopped up some lemon basil and cilantro for the top.  Wasn't bad, the filling was delicious, the squash itself was kind of bland.

We have been successful in finding chanterelles this year. So I planned on following another Hank Shaw recipe, chanterelles with spaetzle, last night. We made the pumpkin spaetzle using pumpkin that we had roasted last fall. Pretty easy and kind of fun to make. We sliced the mushrooms and also added a half pound of oyster mushrooms that I bought at the farmers market. The final dish included bacon, sliced onions, garlic, mushrooms, toasted pine nuts, and chopped parsley. Even my son who doesn't really like mushrooms enjoyed this dish.
