Gavin Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Will eat deer heart & liver if done right, chicken livers too but few are done right: If you miss toss it in the can. The same goes for duck.

I will eat about anything if I was starving to death, but I'm not. Liver pate every year at Xmas on our family.. I eat the obligatory bite and that's it. Same reason I eat anything else. I like it. Not all the time but now and then. About once a summer I get hungry for a braunschwager sandwich with a slice of onion and spicy mustard. Just a for instance. Chief Grey Bear 1

Chief Grey Bear Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 It is a tasty discussion. Deer heart is very tasty. Deer liver, though stronger than beef, is tasty. Right there is a truthful statement. I LOVE chicken livers, however it is almost impossible to find them that are not over cooked or bland. Good spice in the flour works wonders, I like Slap yo Mama in the flour as most of the heat cooks out and liver can handle the extra flavor/spice.

My mom made beef liver a couple times and we three kids staged such a revolt that she never did it again. Beef liver is on the ‘never again’ list (along with Yukon Jack, Southern Comfort, Golden Corral and Outback Bloomin’ Onion). I got slipped a breaded chicken liver when eating some gizzards and I remember it wasn’t nearly as bad as beef, but still not to my liking. Maybe I’ve just never had chicken livers done right. Not in a hurry to find out. I do like brainsweiger every now and then. I can tolerate pate but it’s going to be at somebody else’s house and it’ll get eaten because there weren’t better options available. BilletHead 1 John

Right there with you on the Yukon Jack and the Bloomin' Onion. I have avoided any reason to avoid the other two by avoiding them to date. I would add tequilla to your list, though.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Hey Rick, Was it limburger cheese your buddy brought to the jigfest at Lilley's a couple years ago. I love gorgonzola, especially dolce, but I still have that nasty taste in my mouth from that limburger and I spit it out right away off the deck. Sorry Phil.
Gavin Posted November 12, 2017 Posted November 12, 2017 Love linguine with chicken livers.Always fry a pound of extra livers for snacking while I cook. Just S&p flour & oil. Doing chicken drum lollipops in the oven right now. Faux bbq. MOPanfisher 1
